Know any UK 850 specialists?

    Hope you can help me!


    Despite giving my precious Eight to a decent BMW dealership, I feel they don't really know what they are doing with it. I've asked for several things to be fixed but it just doesn't happen and when I talk to the service desk I get vacant looks. All they are concerned about is getting it through the MOT.


    So, what I need is the names of garages/dealers/whatever of people who really KNOW about the Eight.


    I've got work to be done on my car but all I need from a main dealer is that MOT and a stamp!.


    BTW I live in Bristol.

    I doubt that many dealers see a lot of 8s, because it's a relatively rare car. Have you checked the Dealership forum...people have posted good/bad experiences there.


    Alasdair posted about Damon Hill dealership in Warwick being good...that's not too far from you...

    I agree with the normal worry of going to a main dealer but I can vouch ofr my local one - Vines in Guildford. Sorted out a small oil leak that has been hounding me for years.


    I also think Damon Hill might be a good bet. It looks as though they want to specialise in M-cars including the 850. They have some very good deals on service prices etc. so worth checking out

    I live in Cardiff, use an indeopendent specialist who specialises in BMW, Merc & Porsche (PJ Motors 029 2056 5666, Phil's your boy), they are good as gold. Parts come from Germany quicker than the local BMW dealer (I have similar issues with mine), nothing is too small or too big, & they enjoy having the car. Not exactly round the corner I know, but I can't recommend them highly enough.
