I finally fit them. I managed to get new Goodyear GSD3's from ebay for £200 for the front pair, and £465 for a matching rear 285x30x19 rears, managed to get them to fit and balance the fronts too with the deal.
must get the phoenix reinforcement plates fitted now as the ride's getting harder

I have a set of the desirable ones for sale, pm me if you're interested

Just saw this outside my office block, and was wondering if it's anyone here?
-
none available. you can substitute for one from another car though.
-
nice setup Gerry, but I think you have to play technology catchup to compete with Tony's Digital TV and fabricated screen
I love the bass/amps and box
-
@rcrad console is cheap, about £25 in the uk. Plastic bit didn't come with it - I used the original, and yes, naff means poo
I'm personally not into over ///M'ing the car. I have a CSi and therefore a true M car. I plan on m'ing the interior as they didn't, and I plan to do it very lightly and elegnatly (according to my taste). I have bought all the bits to do it. Will post pics when it's done.
In any case, there is no accounting for taste!

sounds like a plan. keep us posted

hehe, that I was.
still got loads of wiring to do, it's just the sceen that's on... hopefully more today and perhaps have a youtube post soon
-
IT'S ALLIIIVVEEEEE!!!!
-
fantastic mate. Could you extend the carpet perhaps from the sides to cover the gaps? even if the carpet has no solid back, it would look good to cover. Minor detail
looks like we both have the wiring task left!
-
a very long down-hill perhaps
-
My figures on the 5.6 is also 19-21mpg on highways.
Don't ask about towns!
-
sure I am.
Something up with the CD changer though, I'm not sure if it's the CD changer, the wiring, or something else.
What are you offering?
-
yazoos!
-
could you not just stick the pc in the compartment and place the amp on the other side? you'll still have the ski hatch going through that way, even if not used for skis... maybe to hold someone's hand whilst they suffer in the boot!
-
can't wait to see your progress dude
I take it you're going to use that compartment?
do you have any unused wires/plugs back there btw?
-
final update for today!
get a piece of aluminium (left over from last project for same purpose)
it sill has all the right holes for the powersupply and motherboard
put it on
make sure everything faces the front, so wiring is accesible when the hatch is open
stick the harddrive on the side...
... using a temporary solution involving a webcam pouch and a bag fastener!
almost ready to go in... just need to wire it all up now

hey mate
cheers for the comments.
that's the headunit in there. It's a cassette version.
I also have the CD player in the back, but it doesn't work for some reason. It ejects and takes the cd's, then you can hear it read them, but the headunit doesn't see it.
I've got no interest in the headunit to be honest, nor the CD changer at the back.
what does sep. mean?
