before you do that, try to give the ones you have a good clean with some vinegar! I'm serious, you'd be surprised how much life you can get out of wipers.

you could always cut the csi ones
-
just don't stick sills on that one then :p
ps. lovely!

the hamman sills on your wings
-
yea, but you've got ///M3 sills

that's true, though from experience, it's only if you have silly italics, and crazy fonts.
If it's just a small space difference, they're not too bad about it. AFAIK The reason for the crackdown is to ensure OCR on cameras can recognise plates.

That one. Yep

Hiding the car's age is a major factor. But I personally also like the personalisation element.
I got this plate with my car, but I did have a private one on my previous car. That was L18AN B, and that's because I'm Lebanese.
I would prefer to have my plate on this car since it is more personal, but I couldn't do it since it's a 93 and L is not allowed on it.
All the tweaks people apply here and there are not any different. It's like the choice between keeping the original wheels or getting new ones. All down to personal choice. I think having your name or something meaningful is not such a bad thing.
opinion is a personal thing too, but I wouldn't stick a numberplate on that

Connecting the buttons with radio remote is a good idea. Just need a soldering iron, and an accessible way to change the battery.
sadly voice control in cars is bad. It's prone to too much noise like wind, and the actual music itself. One solution would be to have a push-to-talk button, but that may mean closing the window when you're somewhere noisy.

How much do you guys think I should sell my throwing star wheels for?
5 of them. They're in good ok condition but could probably do with a refurb.
-
oi! I have 850 on my car

got an answer to this on bimmerforums from TxGR8White, so I though I'd regurgitate here:
* remove inner door panel. 3 screws and approx. 8 or 9 clips along the bottom.
* carefully peel back the cover sheet
* locate the "sliding" bar at the base of the door handle assembly (from inside the door0
* slide the bar forward. This can also be done through the black plastic grommet on the door jamb. This "unlocks" the door handle bezel, lift and remove from the outside of the door.
* disconnect the 4 connectors (drivers side) or 2/3 connectors (passenger side)
* you will need a 1/4" drive socket with a swivel joint and 10mm socket.
* remove both nuts (door handle's, not yours).
* disconnect the wire linkage
* remove from the door skin.Remeber to either take a few pics or something to remember how it all fits together.

nice one! looks lolvey, and inline with my plans to ///M the interior of the car.
can this wheel have inserts put on it so that it has buttons?
-
I've dealt with Gerry before. You can't go wrong, trust me on that one
-
sorry, I missed your response somehow mate.
really need to look into this some more as I'm not very fond of the top glove box, especially since it needs replacing. An airbag would be good, so I don't feel too guilty if I crash with someone sitting there :p
why the hell are they called glove box? who on earth puts gloves in there!

The passenger window doesn't go down a little when I touch the door handle.
I've taken the door panel apart and can see that there's a microswitch that should connect two wires, that make the window open slightly.
I've manually shorted the wires and that works, which means the error is down to the microswitch.
Anyone know how can I remove the door handle?

you're a poet!
