Merry Christmas to all.

I like the thread idea. Is it too pedantic to point out that the cider added one too many d's?
-
Gentlemen, that looks lovely.

I had my 840Ci converted by a V8 conversions specialist 35000 miles ago - so glad I did.

Great post Reinhard - many thanks.

Good job. Nice to have a big space like that to work in.

I have the pieces to replace but unsure how to go about detaching the seat belt. I presume I need to remove the bottom side panel of the seat (the one with the seat adjustment buttons), and I can see one torx screw, but the recessed screw nearest to the belt anchor point, is that the same torx too? [edit] It is, and I could get to it once I had lifted the seat off the floor. Job done.

...and if you have one of those, you're likely better off with a Dice unit + iPod.

Has anyone found a good paint to touch up the arm that holds the headrest? Mine is grey, on a silver/light grey seat.
Thanks! -
I am biased, but looking at that picture, I just wish they'd used a car with CSI bodykit instead - it would have beaten the Merc on looks, at least.

Thanks gents.

Does anyone know the colours for the seat sensor wiring where the plugs meet under the seat?
-
I'm guessing 850 vs CL 600, picked up for £4k.

Looking great!

Nice one Terje - enjoy!

Thanks Stuart - I'm only just revisiting this now. Do the copper rings require a special tool?
-
Many thanks!

It's essentially an automatic, but you can flick the gear stick left from the D position, from where you can flick it up & down to go through the gears. There is a readout on the dash that shows what gear you are in.

I'm saving up for an '05 Ford GT.
