My November 1994 850 csi need its air conditioning regassing, ive been told that my car could have the R12 refrigerent in the system, I did have the car regassed in 2009 at a specialist, but was not made aware of there being a problem with regassing or R12 refrigerent. R12 refrigerent has been outlawed in the United kingdom and most of europe. Does anyone know the date BMW stoped using R12 refrigerent, and what date did they start using R134A refrigerent. Is there anyway of knowing or identifying what kind of refrigerent was put in?
