I have had a quote from a company in Livingstone Scotland,TRANSCAL
Starting price is £1,200 +.
They have done a 8 before and I think it's a good job.
You have no options, you have to use Alpina.
take lots of pictures and post them here.Dave, Number 47 has a black leather interior. The current interior is actually in great condition but if the budget allows I would consider sending the car to Alpina to have the interior redone to my own specification.[/QUOTE]

How much will the new interior cost?
what colour is the interior in number 47?Zitat von Baggio850;123770I've got similar plans for number 47/57. I've always admired Erik's old car and have been in contact with Alpina to discuss my options. My car is Avus blue and a cream/champagne leather interior would have been my preferred choice had I ordered the car new.

if you take a look at picture no 7 it shows 2 x dme and 2x maf, but in pic 1 the maf.s are with the motor and gearbox.
I wonder if he has a spare set of maf's -

Dave,
am I wrong? Are the prices raising at Elisabeth's big island?
The prices are indeed going up Harry, but is anyone buying?
To be fair it is a very desirable car and a good colour combo. -

- When you write "exchanged the clocks" do you mean just the speedo/tacho gauges or the entire instrument cluster?
- What does the odometer say - normal mileage or EEEE?
- Do the fuel and temperature gauges work?
- Does the digital speed display on the MID indicate the correct speed (service menu 8)?
here is his problem. I am not in direct contact with him, I am in contact with the guy who sold him the replacement cluster.I have a 1992 BMW e31 850i with the M70 12 cyl engine.
My instrument cluster is not functioning properly. The lights on the cluster work fine. However, the gas, temp, tach and speedometer needles don't move. I have tried the test mode by pushing the tripometer and holding when turning the key to the on position. When I do this all lights function properly and all gauges move from pin to pin.
I have replaced all fuses in both trunk and under hood. I bought a used replacement cluster and put it in the car and have the exact same symptoms. Thus, I don't believe the problem lies within the cluster. It appears to be a communication issue or a power problem to the gauges. Please help getting very frustrated.

Hi; I don't think it is the same problem.
He has exchanged the clocks and the EKM.
the fault has not gone away
He has sunk £9,000 into the car and cannot get a MOT -
Hi all;
A non forum member is having problems with his recently purchased 850I sixspeed.
The rev counter and the speedo don't move.
He has swapped the clocks. and changed the moduels controling the dash.
the ABS and traction lights both come on and go off as normal but the clocks are inop.
