This guy makes them, so I guess he will make a clock with a yellow 8
"retrorocket60@gmail.com"[/email] -
Is it a modern clock or is it from the E31 era?
-
If he can get it to run the 48 valve will make 380 ps.
is it worth all the effort?

I had the same /simular problem (k9)
But also check that the alarm is not going faulty. I had a toad alarm fitted 4 years ago.
the installer did half a job. the alarm immobilised 1 fuel pump and the startermotor. -
Are there 2 Dakar yellow's? or has Bern got a better camera?

The steering wheel is on the wrong side for the UK.
you will get better money for it in EU, The milage is very low but this is not always good news.
no e31 m73 cars made it to the UK. therefore even as a parts car (God forbid) you will not make good money.
The only option is to sell it to our EU neghibours. the cost of trailoring it over there will be deducted from YOUR asking price.
GOOD LUCK -
I have seen that KS at a car meeting at Tatton Hall.
not nice at all. -
thanks for sharing.
here's a indoor show in May, the KS8 has got an invite -

are you sure it's the starter making the click?
maybe a relay
Zitat von freeman81;105957Hi everyone,
My 840 has had a sticking starter for a while now where sometimes it will just click instead of turning the engine over. This is now gradually getting worse even with regular use so it's time for a new starter (I wish they sold the solenoid on its own!)
Question is should I buy from BMW main dealer which is a remanufactured unit, £283 inc VAT (plus a surcharge of approx 20% of the retail price until you return the old unit), or have my one rebuilt? If the latter could anyone recommend where to get it done?
Many thanks in advance! -
I seem to recall that the chrome inserts came out in 1993,
I maybe wrong.
Zitat von anguswolfendale;105944Interesting that the car featured doesn't have a Radio Cassette and the centre storage is for CD's - surprised at this for 1989. It is also missing the chrome inserts where the seat belt exits the headrest frame and later in the video is an alternative "finishing" piece - looks like they were still finalising this bit of the interior styling. Am I being too Anal?

My 1st e31 850 1993 had AHK.
email from Jud;
I noted that CB57974 has the special 850CSi bits (see build sheet, option code 237 – AHK). As an aside, to help prop up sagging sales for the 1993-94 model year RHD M70 850i/Ci, BMW UK ordered CSi bits to be placed in 99 cars delivered to the UK, including AHK all-wheel steering. Of the 632 M70 RHD 850i/CiA’s delivered to the UK, only 99 cars were outfitted with the 850CSi bits (15.7%).
Zitat von huldra66;105922One really interesting thing here is that they seem to show a rear axle with a AHK unit installed. see 8.57 to 9.07
Hove early was that sytem installed on a E31

Internal training video sent from BMW GmbH to BMW UK Dealerships in 1989 prior to BMW 850i production commencing in early 1990. The video features two members of the BMW GmbH board of directors (Director of Research & Development, Dr. Wolfgang Reitzle & Director of Sales, Dr. Robert Buchelhofer)."I'm the proud owner of a 'pre-production' right hand drive 850i, manufactured in November 1989 and registered to BMW UK Head Office (Bracknell) in October 1992. It comes in metallic Glacier Blue (light silver-blue) with Ultramarine (dark blue) leather interior, a rare but stunning colour combination for it's time! It is currently the oldest known surviving example world wide that has seen active use and the only pre-production model known to have been released to the public. It has been suggested that the car was used in Germany as a 'test mule' and/or press car as per other known pre-production 8 Series, all of which (apart from mine) are thought to have been scrapped/recycled by BMW GmbH. I suspect this is more than likely as BMW UK in Bracknell took delivery of the car in July 1992, over two and a half years after the manufacture date, registering it three months later in October 1992, just a month short of it being three years old! I was very pleased to have acquired this video to add to the original sales literature that came with my car.
Although this video was a few years too early to mention the 840Ci V8, many of the features remained the same, so whichever 8 Series you're an owner or enthusiast of, I hope you find this rare video of interest!"

ERIC CANTANA x man united owned a black Zemax csi.
thats 1 bad colour but £9k for a csi can't be bad.
I wonder if zemax removed the AHK to allow the wide tyres to move without hitting the arches.
