Hello, are you looking for the rear blind and loom then take a look of these photos,
the sale price is £200 and is for collection only. Cheers Vic -
Hello, I recently sold my BMW 840 Ci Sport and I have been selling off all the parts I have in stock and if anyone is interested I have a set of adjusters for 1 headlight
they cost me nearly £100 and you get 3 in a full set ie 2 long and 1 short adjuster. I found that if you run the adjusters up and down their length with silicon oil
you can stop them from seizing even after when they get very hot because of the close proximity to the engine. The silicon oil I used is the high temp
Super Lube Synthetic Multi Purpose oil. I have already run these new adjusters with the oil. Cheers Vic -

Did you get sorted with the wheels you wanted, I have now sold my car after 14 years ownership with the original silver bbs wheels but I do have a set of bbs split rims recently refurbed in gloss black and they looked great on car.

Hello, I have an 840 ci sport with full history 83300 miles and is one of the very last cars built ie march 1999. Reg sept 1999.It is in the best colour of
estoril blue with silver leaf sports seats which are piped in blue, plus it has split rim 17" staggered wheels recently refurbed in black.
Also have the silver set of split rims as well.
I have owned since Aug 2001 and I have a lever arch file of all receipts, MOTs, tax discs etc.
Does this sound like what you are looking for. Cheers Vic1 -
Hello Angus, if you type in door handle repair in the advance search you will see my solution to your problem, what I did not know at the time is there is a part made
to cure the problem cheers Vic1 -
Hello, have you bought any wheels yet because I have a set of Rc009/Rc010 original split rims staggered off my 840.
Front Rc009 are 8J and Rear RC010 are 9J. The fronts are ok but are just starting to haze around the valves and have new tyres 235 45 17.
The rears have been refurbed but in silver and have 265 40 17. They all still look good. Cheers Vic -

Further to the good work of Gerry, I found that my window sometimes would not go down when I tried to open the door and I would have to pull the door even though the glass had not dropped to clear the seal and then as the door was open the glass would drop.
I thought this was because I was not using the car very much and the glass was sticking to the seal.
This had been going on for about 12 months, but when you got in the car and closed the door and then re-opened the glass would drop straight away.
Again I thought well I have already dropped the glass therefore its not sticking now.
Also when using the car all day the window would work properly.
Then one day in July the door would not open full stop. The car was in my garage and I could not get to the other door so I just used the key to open all the windows and then pull the lever inside the car to open the door.
I stripped down the door card as per Gerry`s instructions and this it what I found and my solution to the problem.
8er.org/forum/index.php?attachment/27856/8er.org/forum/index.php?attachment/27857/8er.org/forum/index.php?attachment/27858/8er.org/forum/index.php?attachment/27859/8er.org/forum/index.php?attachment/27860/8er.org/forum/index.php?attachment/27861/8er.org/forum/index.php?attachment/27862/8er.org/forum/index.php?attachment/27863/The last pic is not to scale and the width of the angle iron is approx. the same as the crappy aluminium bar BMW in their wisdom decided to make it out of. If they had cast it solid it would of been OK.
The screws on the left are SS self tappers (approx. 3.5mm) as there is not a lot of room for the nuts and washers.
The other 3 are M3. When drilling the holes make sure everything is tight together to pull the crack together.
When the left door handle breaks the angle iron picture is flipped. When I get some time I will make a left hand version and drill the left door before
it breaks.
Hope this helps.Cheers Vic

Have you bought any alpinas yet, I have a set of 18 " which I bought from bmw a few years ago for my 840ci sport and still have the receipt. They are like new as they only go on the car when it is sunny (Ha Ha whenever that is). The Dunlop sport tyres look like new. The fronts are 9" ( I will check) and the rear are the 10.5". I also have 2 extra (18") which are only good for the winter or for the spare, one has a nearly new Michelin tyre and the other does not have 1 fitted.
On the receipt it has a code which says wheel set B91.47.3.611.673. Cheers Vic -
Thanks for that I will make the order cheers Vic
-
What does it mean bolts are 10.9 instead of 8.8
