I agree with you Angus if the owners club are featuring us we should be centre stage, all exhibiting car owners should have all access passes to be able to get where we need to - and including one for a passenger?
Let's get the layout organised - are the organisers going to provide a tent or structure? for central base, what if it's raining!!! can we sort this out?8) -
As an add on to Gerry's suggestion of 'Money' Pink Floyd how about 'Comfortabally Numb'

Following yesterdays investigation this is how the fault occurs - on full lock to the right coming back to centre the steering has locked. The car was placed on spin plates on the lift, but we could not make it happen - the engine running
Took her out for a drive about 10 miles, nothing happened, we did noticed that the grommet on the steering shaft was dry so lubricant was applied, a crunching, grinding sound on full lock left to right soon stopped.
So the search continues the car will be looked at again this week and I will look again next weekend - any further suggestions experiences are most welcome. -
Angus I can understand the frustration - as I have had some knock backs as you may have seen - been into the garage today to look and discusse the current issue - even took her out for a test drive - what a car not driven her 4 months!! but still can't pin point the problem
I love the car - spent a small fortune on her and got some more to spend but and this is the big but, it will be all worth it when she is sat there on display at Gaydon looking the cats wisker with all the guys on this site having a good look.
I take your point with the never ending problems, my 5er though has been a corker just gone over 162k and going like a dream - got the pixel problem and will fix this through my specialist - I will not leave any of my cars with a steelership particularly the 8 as none of the so called engineers have seen on let alone worked on one, at least my chaps have worked on the 8 - belive me it does help. -
Mark - Thanks for your help I am going into the garage tommorrow to talk to the lads who are looking for the problem, and will include this issue.
-
Arnie you take on aux heating is basically right, I have it on my 5 and I can set the time for heating or cooling to come on - such as the cold snap we had last week, i set the programme to come on ten mins before i want to go to work - get in, windows defrosted, seats warm, cab warm
Just a cracking package -
Thanks gerry the only thing i have had done on the front is new sport shocks - the strut issue might be on the money - the chaps are having a look today and tommorrow so I will pass this on.
-
Gents I need some help - my car is at the garage having some work done , on a test drive they reported the steering stiffening very badly - has anyone had this problem? and what was the fix?
