Cheers for all the advice
Yes they are genuine rims, so will keep an eye out for another pair
Even if they don't really fit an E31 they might still be of use

I have a chance of 2 rear 18" Aplina wheels from an E39
Slim chance of finding fronts, but is it worth me buying them for my 850 incase a pair of fronts should come along?
I take it they do fit the E31 ? -

I dont even know how it is to have the traction controle because it doesnt work.

Perhaps blue-tacking a 'Spirit of Ecstacy' on the front roundel would help, after all RR are in the Group now aren't they?
Maybe a union jack flag skicking out from the bumper would be better

I believe this will solve your problems
Failing that....... Trial and Error .....
Looks a good tool that but would deffo not want to cut the bumpers to fit one
Trail and error works but error hurts the paint lol -
Where does it end, the front of the car that is
A few times now on parking my 8 I've managed to nudge it's nose into a fence
Nothing bad but still very annoying
So is there a trick i'm missing to gauging how much room is left when parking up?
Looking at the next parked up car doesn't help either -
Ok, many thanks

Do many or any of the parts from a 1989 635csi interchange with a 93 850ci ?
ie mechanical parts like diff, brakes etc ?
I take it none of the electrics do ? -

And of course, using a car of such status as your daily driver will make you poor.
So, please, don't make the 8er look bad by comparing its fuel economy to a Ford Ka or Vauxhaull .. it's just a VERY different kind of beast.
I use mine daily and am poor already
imho if the car delivered more punch then the poor mpg would be easier to live with -

90litre isnt it!?
Makes it even worse then lol
Never run it out but only get close to 80 when in the red -
I saw 25mpg on a run once .. for a few motorway miles only
But guess 15 - 20 is the norm ?
Filling up an 80ltr tank every 300 mile isn't good
But at £?? a pop I don't mind so much -

My main dealer says that the diff is sealed 'for life' and wots a E31?
REGARDS BOYCEY
At that point you know it's time to head towards the door -
Not wishing to offend but I don't like them
They just dont look right to me
Either they look to small or the tyres are too fat ? -

Well I hope I haven't gone to mad with it
But I took it out for a quick blast afterwards and it seemed ok
Saying that I didn't get it up to any great speed
But it seemed to straighten up ok out of slower turns -
Well the arm didn't take long to arrive
Top service there
Just waiting for the new discs and pads now
Then time to get down n dirty and get them all fitted
btw, I had a go at adjusting the steering box up today
Taken out some of the zero feel of the wheel atleast
Easier then I thought but would advise in future anyone wishing to try ...
Make sure the exhaust manifolds cold before you try lol -
That blue car was in another salvage yard as a recent breaker
Guess fab bought it up complete then
