BUT!! How does your 850 respond in 4th, mine needs more than 1/2 throttle for anything to happen, but press to much and it shifts to 3rd and away we go.
Any others feel that their 850 is "without power" in 4th?

    Same here
I put it down to the fly by wire throttle set up mind
If they opened in 4th on the dot it might help

You can turn it on/off by pressing the ASC button.

    Many thanks
Had a little dabble the other day coming out off a private roundabout
Could get the back end out but not much of a drift
Mind you it was my 1st attempt in me QE2

Its a big old bird lol :harhar:

Bulbholder is not available as a seperate item from BMW. You have to buy all the wiring and bulbholders for the whole lightstrip - not cheap !

    Sod that :ahhhhh:
I'll try it my way :top:

Found the grey wire was corroded under the wax ...

Drilled a hole in the back of the holder, then attached the broken wire to the terminal inside

That wax gave me an idea :harhar:

    Fills a hole lol

All fixed, for now lol ;)

I have a sidelight failure and an MOT coming up.
Traced the fault to a partially broken wire (only a couple of strands remaining) just where the wire enters the "potting" at the back of the bulbholder.

Did you fix the fault ?
My nsf sidelamp has stopped working this week
I've looked at the wiring and it seems to have the same prob as yours?
I can get power to all of the bulbs apart from the grey wire which must be the sidelight bulb.
Looking at the rear of the holder it appears to be filled with bees wax lol
Is there an alternative holder that fits?

    Many thanks for the link
Not sure I understand it yet, so will read it a few time more to see if it all sinks in lol.
re the exhausts, as they were on the car when I bought it I'm not complaining :top:
Just another part I know is in good shape :harhar:

my technique was traction off, EDC to Sport, stick it in manual mode, second gear, then drive slowly with some lock on and boot it.

New to my car so please don't shoot me down just yet
Only owned it for a week :winkwink:

How or can you turn the traction control? off on a 1993 850ci auto?
