Thats awesome Thanks. Now final question. Anyone know where I can get a R17?
Wow thats really impressive progress
Thanks Alex
I might try a heat gun / hair dryer and see how I get on
Is there a how to on using the R17 with a cd43 and Dice?
Hey all
Upon cleaning the car I have noticed that someone has dinged my car right between the kidney grills at the front!
Its a small crease about 1 cm long and it has created a small depression making it look uneven!!!!
Is thare anything that can be done to get it back to normal other than a repair? Does it repsond to a hair dryer for example and assume its original shape?
Many Thanks in advance all! I'm really really annoyed but thats the risk when getting it out in public!!!
Wow thats an amazingly clean pair of 8's
Hey all
Yes it was a good laugh and has had me smiling since. Its quite rare I get to be so self indulgent!
I did open her up a bit Belgian and Dutch roads are very smooth and very straight! Although it does need alot of road to get up to the limits...
All in all reminded me why I chose it,, its fast, its refined and its gorgeous! with the benefit of useful back seats for children.
Yes they are 18's I think they are replicas but still very pretty, the one in the boot is the real mccoy though with "made by OZ for ACS" written on the rim.
Thanks for the kind words all. I'll definately post with a bit more notice next time.
Hi All
Home safe and sound and no rain until I got home! even in Belgium. Calais - Nieuwpoort - Osstende - Brugge - Gent - Terneuzen via a tunnel to Vlissingen - Antwerp - Back to Calais! 550 miles in total, three stops and only about 5 piccies but loads of fun!
Hope some more might be able to join next time.
What is an R17 adapter harness?
Hi Keith! Sorry!
Zitat von TallTony;71108Radron, I have an identical setup to that, Eibachs/Bilsteins/Camber Plates and I can tell you that on my 840 the lowering effect amounts to about 15mm only. I think the difference in height is more pronounced when you replace standard springs rather than the stock Sport ones fitted to mine originally.
Handles much better though
Thanks thats useful info
Hello All
I thought I would take the 8 out for a good long drive so I have booked on the train to calais on Sunday 29th. the 09.20 train to Calais, 18.50 train back home from Calais. I think I'll do a flying trip to somwhere like Ghent and then back to Calais. Give me a buzz if you fancy coming along. 07973142043
Gerry it would be awesome to add some pics of how the car sat originally and how it sits now on the new set up. Just a thought...
Does it just play over the input displayed? I have had an aux cable attached to my range rover stereo and when connected the Ipod just plays instead of the displayed radio station?
Congratulations! Do you think it will recover the costs of the diff in a couple of hundred years?
Very useful write up Gerry
Sorry they are gorgeous but I sadly cant justify them. Will need all my money for my next service!
