Zitat von wayneblackwell1000;118711At that price its a bargain and someone will get a lovely example, hope all goes well Brendan, what have you got in mind for a replacement?
the logical upgrade would be an Aston Martin
Egil, the following pictures of my M635CSi are meant to cheer you up a little again
and a lot more right here:

Just don't be shy when using the angle grinder:
After all the outcome is quite acceptable and none of that rust came back so far. But some other small spots popped up
If the job is done right it'll take quite some years.
On my M635CSi I had severe corrosion issues and as a matter of fact the repaired parts are still fine after about 10 years.
But the brown devil pops up elsewhere all of a sudden. As long as you fight it early enough and then do it properly it's ok.
Part of the maintenance procedure of an old car.
I have no doubts that you'll take any necessary action.
The "problem" IMO is to decide what to use. So many different opinions about what the best stuff is.
An it will come back. Just a matter of time. Ask me how I know.
As long as the car doesn't remain on the ground while you're lifting the hoist there is still hope
Most important is that you have the inside treated properly otherwise you'll see this again in no time.
Zitat von Argonaut;118598Thanks Wolf, I sent you an email
and I already replied
Zitat von MB;118596Mine don't have those, I feel somewhat underloved.
I was out of them for a while but I happily send you a set.
PM me with your address and they go out immediately.
Love
Wolf
email me at info@wokke.de and I supply all the info you need.
Unfortunately my initial calculation was a bit optimistic. The set is €65.- shipped to any location.
The above post of mine is corrected accordingly.
Cheers
Wolf
Thanks a lot Vic. Bolt set is already in the mail.
Zitat von Vic1;118216What does it mean bolts are 10.9 instead of 8.8
It is the strength of the material.
Higher number means stronger steel.
I just saw that I posted in the wrong sub-forum.
Sorry about that. But I can't delete it anymore.
