TerjeQuote from steve;138745Hi Terje
I don't think the are any official diagrams for these old BMW radios. (At least, i have not seen any yet.)
In one of my 840, I installed a little amp, which comes between the original radio and the original boxes. It has two Aux Inputs and it provides good sound.
(I forgot it's name...) The drawback is that you have to set the volume on your MP3 Player which is fiddly.
In my other 840 I modified the Business RDS Casette in a way that I removed the tape unit and used the pins for the tape Line-In.
I documented it here. Here is the Link for the original E30 page.
Here is a german Youtube Video for a Reverse RDS conversion.
The conversion still works.
Cheers

That's what I tried but seems only pix can be uploaded not PDF's
You have more rights than me here Revtor? Now I got the KE-92 as well

TerjeQuote from revtor;138764huldra66: It's not that straightforward on this forum (I usually host on my own website).
Click "Reply" or "Reply to Thread", then "Go Advanced". Now you can type your reply message and somewhat below the reply text box you'll find the "Manage Attachments" button. Click it and a new browser window or tab will open where you can see your previously uploaded files. Since you want to attach a new file, click "Add Files" in the top right corner, then "Browse" and select the desired PDF file and finally click "Upload". The new file will automatically be added to your list of uploaded files and to the "Attachments" of the new reply (the bottom most area). Repeat if you want to add more than one attachment. Finally click "Done" in the lower right corner to return to your message and post it by clicking "Submit Reply".

Update 2018-04-05: Download links to service manuals:- Pioneer KE-83ZBM Service Manual (7.68 MB): Older generation BMW head unit that was never available for the E31
- Pioneer KE-92ZBM Service Manual (19.8 MB): BMW Bavaria C Business RDS. Available for the E31 from 1/91 up to 2/94
- Becker BE4720 Traffic Pro Service Manual (13.6 MB): BMW Traffic Pro. Never available for the E31 but a popular retrofit. Note that the BMW version is the Becker BE4769 but it's from the same family so the service manual should apply to most of it

All
We are planning a new Norwegian tour in 2018 , a few limited spaces left for those interested
Norway Lofoten and Hurtigruta tour 2018
Invitation to participate in a long Norway tour that takes us through fjords, mountains, and beautiful landscape all the 2000km from Stavanger to Lofoten , and then back seeing all this from the sea traveling back to Bergen with Hurtigruta, see links on bottomfor more information most of hotels here is what we negotiate with now, pictures are relevant for the plan.
This is a long tour with 2000km of driving up to Lofoten
Start in Stavanger Sunday Morning 29-Juli and arrive in Bergen 9-Aug 12 days later
Plan is to use 6 Days up from Stavanger, not to have too much driving every day and day break from driving in Røros and arrive Friday at Lofoten 3-Aug.
Then spend 3 Days at Lofoten and have different activities before boarding Hurtigruta and the ship Trollfjord 6- August and see most of Norway’s cost line from sea until we at 9-Aug arrive at Bergen.
This is just the preliminary draft, We have booked Hurtigruta , and some hotels are being communicated with.
But we need to know who would be interested in such a tour as spaces are very limited and we have secured 15 spaces for cars on Hurtigruta.
This will be an expensive tour but great fun and experience
Prices for one car and two persons on the ship is approx. 15000Nok including breakfast and dinners and on Hurtigruta, drinks obviously in Norway is not included but clean clear Norwegian water is free
Prices are only preliminary until we have secured the stays but looking at a total 31500Nok +/- for Hotels and Ship with breakfast and a few dinners included, here we also plan some activities into the price
Prize for singles will be calculated when we know the details, here it’s possible to join up to saveContact me for more details and program, more information to come.

Hi Roger
Same way of changing the oil as it has the same filling and draining caps , a bit tight on the ones with rear oil cooler due to hoses passing just over the filler cap
More oil needed to fill the oil cooler if that is drained or replaced ( if not disconnected cooler holds the oil ) you will have to disconnect and use pressurized air to drain it if you like all oil to be replaced.
I filled up , took the car for a drive so it fills the cooler itself , and then refill whats needed
If I remeber correctly almost half a liter , but just by memory as this is two years agoRegards

Hi Terje,
I may be wrong but I was under the impression that the Alpina B12 5.7 uses the standard MAF's found on the M70. Can anyone verify?
Not sure here , but if that was the case then I cant see any issues with reprogramming the CSI to use standard MAF's

I was also afraid to own several cars , specially the 8series when I bought it as it's technically a difficult and special car.
Well today I have three 8 series
, so definitly keep at least one.
