0900 is too early are you kidding?
Breakfast buffet starts at 0700 and we have a full day and evening in a big exciting city
Your lovely bride can sleep on the drive down and on the drive home or miss the action in VIE

In any case - with so many attendees I plan to run two bus trips down to VIE in the morning and two back from VIE in the evening - with no return to the hotel during the day - keeping in mind that the 5KM from the hotel to VIE takes 45-60 minutes during morning and evening high-traffic hours:

ETD 0900 early bus TO VIE via KAHLENBERG OVERLOOK
ETD 1200 midday bus TO VIE

ETD 1700 early bus TO PRATER FROM CENTER VIE
ETD 1900 evening bus TO PRATER FROM CENTER VIE

ETD 2100 early bus TO HOTEL from PRATER

Note that these are tentative times and depend on me double-checking the routes and the final bus contract.

First - lunch is not dinner - Lunch is at 1200 (mittagessen) and Dinner is 1800 (abendessen)...

There is no advance registration - you will register and get your packet and ID and tickets in the lobby.

But you will be able to pay your registration fee online on my website after 7 MARCH -

Those who do not have a credit card or PAYPAL can pay in cash in the lobby.

I have to pay the BUS COMPANY in advance and other costs - so I prefer that all participants pay in advance online before 15 APRIL.

Trying to arrange advance purchase of event/museum tickets - which cost will be added to your registration fee based on the events that you select on my questionnaire - next month.

All other optional events, costs, drinks and meals will be ala carte by individual.

RALLY DAY - 96 days and counting - R-96!

Dear colleagues:

Please book your reservations with the Hotel ASAP.

Specify that you are with the BMWer.org RALLY to get the group rate.

Note that you are welcome to stay overnight elsewhere - or not at all.

However - non-members, visitors and guests will NOT be admitted to participate - if they do not register with our 8er.org group administration in the lobby.

All club regular members, visitors and guests must register and pay the 35EURO registration fee PER CAR in advance or in cash (EURO only) during registration.

Each registered member and guest will receive an admission ID to wear and drivers will get a window parking/convoy placard for their cars.

No exceptions.

PS: The driver/owner registration packet will include a LOTTERY TICKET for a MEDION GOPAL P5460 NAVIGATOR AE 7A for West and East EUROPE along with other prizes which will be drawn and awarded at breakfast on Saturday morning in the hotel. City and regional maps with event brochures will be included in each packet plus contact data and the complete daily schedule.

PS: In a few weeks I will send you the opportunity to reserve river cruise, Prater ferris wheel, medieval fest and castle tickets - so that I can purchase them at a group discount in advance and include them in your registration packet - this will save us all waiting time and long lines during the bus transfers and events. Since our group has grown to triple the size I originally expected - I would appreciate it very much if you could pay your registration and ticket fees in advance - online on my website - by credit card or paypal. Hi Fabrice -

Many thanks for re-emphasizing this - hope everyone is reserving under our group event - to get the best group rate, best quality rooms, etc -

As of today - 8 JAN 2013 - the hotel currently has 25 room reservations actually booked by an attendee specifying our event - I initially reserved 45 rooms - do the math...only 20 rooms are left under our contracted rates...

If attendees have NOT booked under our group reservation we will have chaos on day one...or sooner...there may not be enough rooms left in the hotel even before the booking deadline of 15 MARCH for our group reservation.

Please confirm here by quick reply if you already booked with the hotel - entering your intent to attend on this forum or on Facebook does NOT reserve a room at the hotel...as a safeguard against Gremlins the hotel is sending me a copy of the group booking list every month and I will post it here for you to double check.

You must BOOK yourself - directly with the hotel - by email or telephone - do NOT use a travel agency website!

Go back to page 13 of this thread and see my summary from last month:

- 18 rooms confirmed booked by the Hotel

- 45 rooms reserved for our group

- 27 rooms currently open

The hotel is big - it has more than 45 rooms - but not sure more will be available for those who wait - too late.

After 15 March - the hotel will not hold any remaining rooms for latecomers...book now.

If we book all 45 rooms - then I can reserve more rooms and extend the deadline too.
