Terry is correct that the PNW is pretty active in the spring to fall timeframe. Some other good places to meet E31 owners and to learn more are:

It is possible that the airbag system is still intact and that some exercise by the previous owner (seat removal/Instrument cluster removal) set off the light. I have a similar issue altho self induced (removed the cluster and turned key on) and the available SRS Reset tool doesnt work on my early car. Only option for reset is the Dealer. That being said, there is a list of SRS light codes available at my website: http://www.wuffer.net/page6.html

The fall version of the PNW WrenchFest (Sept. 23 & 24) is now less than 3 weeks away!
Have you registered for the event? Even if you don’t have anything you need done to your E31 it’s a great day with the opportunity to meet many other owners and share knowledge and experiences. Seat expert Paul Brill will be there to help you with seat problems as will Headlight adjustment expert Jerry Baumchen. Bill Fox will have his popular HIR bulbs available. Door prizes for each day provided by our sponsor, Dave Belknap at Gault AutoSport in Endicott N.Y. While the event is being held over two days, you may attend either or both days for any part of either day.
You must register for the event at http://www.8-Fest.com. If you have previously registered your car there, just register for the event by clicking on the “Registration” tab, then logging on to your account and registering for the event. If you are having difficulties in registering please contact me and I will be glad to help you. Once again, there is no charge to register at http://www.8-fest.com or to attend the event.
The Spring WrenchFest had 33 cars registered and thus far we have 22 cars registered with 10 from Washington, 9 from BC, 1 each from Alberta, Oregon and California. This will be the last major E31 specific event to be held in the PNW this year. Don’t miss it!

Doesnt matter. Interchangeable if the DME's are the same part number (Bosch 352's)

This would appear to be a US Spec car and thus has the US Spec headlights which do not have removable lenses like the Euro spec cars do Will also not have the adjusters Theo is referring to.
Thus he will be unable to clean them. Moisture inside means there is a crack or poor seal somewhere in the assembly that needs to be addressed. Best is to remove the headlight assembly, remove the bulbs, inspect assembly for cracks and repair if found. Allow assembly to air dry (or use a hair dryer to expedite) and re-assemble. Overall, not a difficult job if one is handy with basic tools. -
Hi Rick,
I am south of you in BC so if you ever get down this way drop in. I have 2 91's I am proud of. You might want to check out the E31 Message Forum on Roadfly. http://www.roadfly.org
That is where most of us North American owners hang out. Another great source for tech info is http://www.e31faq.com
Finally, register your car at http://www.8-fest.com.
