Sorry to hear that. I'll keep my eyes posted on the local for sale sights here. It wouldn't be the first time a stolen UK 8 is resold down under. Ian

I run about 260-270 kPa all round.

Hafner was correct.
Its an E46 M3 front spolier & side skirts modified by a local body shop to fit the E31. Cost about 2-3 times more to fit because of extra labour (AUS $3.5k). I reckon it looks OK.

Good luck Steve, let me know how you go. I wouldn't mind bolting a supercharger on my M60 block.

Hi,
Suspect I might have a dodgy NAG sensor. It goes off without warning, anybody know where it might be hidden in the boot? see below.

Sorted out your post for you Ian - Al

The launch for the 3/4 series will be in 2005 at the Frankfurt auto show.
I can't wait to try the (270HP) 335i. And the 400HP M4 when it arrives in 2007.
So it appears that the new 4 series is basically the 3 series (new one due out 2005) coupe - will probs be cheaper than the 6 series, but looks every bit as nice!
Hi Al,
Hey that pic of the 4 looks quite nice. (ie not an egg) Do you have any more of those lying around ?
Thanks Ian

Have to agree. The new 6 & 5 just look like Hyundais to me.

Re: Powerchips not available in UK ??
Zitat von Ian Downiehttp://www.powerchipgroup.com/uk.asp
Bummer ..
Powerchips is not currently supplying products to this territory. (UK)recommends that United Kingdom residents contact Superchips for all their performance chip needs.
oh no! that is a bummer

Hi Ian,
I was looking at Superchips - but didn't go with them as thry have a lot of bad press in UK Bimmer community.
Do you have chips in your car ?? Is it M62 4.4 V8 ?
If so - do you have dyno results or does it just "feel faster" with the old backside dyno
Some guy at Powerchips wanted me to test his chips in my car - but I didn't want to be his guinea pig.
Cheers,
Ian
G'Day Ian,
Mine is an M60 block. I haven't put in a powerchip yet but I will. I had one in my last beemer. Having done the suspension and wheels the chip had to wait for E31 piggybank to fill up again
Can't comment on the superchips, but myself & friends have had great experiences with the gold powerchips tuned for optimax (they are based in my hometown of melbourne, they would be the biggest supplier of BMW aftermarket chips in this country). I haven driven 540i (M62) with them and the increased torque is definitely more noticeable.
Just ask for a 30 day moneyback deal, the EEPROMs are easy to plug in & out of the control unit if you don't feel your getting your money's worth just plug the factory unit back in. Much easier than pulling the air filter put! Some have even used a piggyback EEPROM arrangement with a switch and you can flick back & forth between the standard & modified fuel mappings.

get a powerchip or superchip and unleash the reserves designed into that beautiful M62 V8 block!

Looking good Ian! The alpina wheels are the only other wheels I considered when upgrading the original rims. I went for t-stars instead.
Are you going to fit Eibach springs next.

G'Day Phil, I also found these whilst I was there....what do you think these fuses are for? 2 x 10A and a 1A, maybe a previous aftermarket phone install or something?
also do you have this sticker on your 840 as well?
Ian
P.S. reached 47C in Northern Victoria last week...42 in Melbourne and got down to a chilly 30C overnight.
P.P.S You coming down for the Grand Prix?

My best friend is from Texas (a whole other country with its own strange rules!) and she married an Australian, and they are living in Melbourne now.
We get into it with the "aluminium" ALL the time...
From the pictures she sends me, I can wait to visit your beautiful country!
You are always welcome! I live in Melbourne too. The Formula 1 Grand prix starts in a few weeks - great time to visit for us petrolheads.

That should say....I guess the mirror motors are on the same fuse
