How to defeat the auto roll up
The auto roll-up only happens once per engine start, so to defeat the Auto roll-up (yes it is only the fronts) you must do this.
Start the engine
with the windows open, hit 100mph and trigger the auto roll-up
press the "window down" buttons to stop the windows
come to a stop
Don't turn the ignition off
Wind all the windows down fully
Have a race
Win the race
(The last instruction is mandatory)

My next project was to get a switchlogic fingertip semi-automatic gearbox, but unfortunately, we are moving house, so the car has got to go - I'm told:-(
The miles are high, but then again, after 100,000 miles, anything that was going to wear, has now worn (and been replaced with new items)
Even if you are not interested in my car, my advise would be to keep away from anything between 68-100 thousand miles, as this is when the cars need the major replacements doing.
The car also has a top spec Sony 10 disc CD system - 10 speaker (like all 8's) and sounds fantastic
There's also a SatNav system, which I'll be leaving with the car
I won't bore you with all the electric specs, as all 8's are the same, and I'm sure you've all been through a few of the sale descriptions.
As Jeremy Clarkson once said "Every real man, at one time in his life, MUST own a V12"
It's on autotrader NW at the moment at £9,000, but make me an offer, I'm keen to sell before the surveyor visits the house I'm selling, and says to me "The roof needs replacing"

The system cost £600, but the chap doing it (who seemed to be struggling) said he would probably charge at least £700 next time.

Powerflow
Recently, I had a Powerflow exhaust fitted.
My car is a Feb 92 model, which just nips in before the Aug 92 Cat regulation.
So, the cats were removed, and the system goes straight through 2.5" pipes.
I think there are 4 silencers in all. Interesting to note is the fact that I did not have a cross-pipe installed, so the sound is a lot throatier, and the bark on full throttle at high revs is spine tingling. (and curtain twitching early in the mornings, ha ha)
The back end is finished off with 4 x 3" tail pipes, which are splayed out to line up with the curvature of the rear bumper.
Totally recommended!
