Steve, if you have any further hallucinations then please ring me. I'll calmly explain it to you and then we can all go about our day again.

These are a staggered set of 4 Rondell Style 58 Deep Dish Alloy wheels. These came off of an E31 8 series BMW. They are 2 fronts (8.5j x 18 inch with ET13) and 2 rears (10j x 18 inch with ET19). The depth of the dish is approximately 2.5 inches on fronts and 3.5 inches on rears. I believe that the centres are 74.1mm, so you will need spigot rings to fit them onto an 8 series for a nice fit.
They are in very good condition, but please understand that they are not new (2004 I believe) and therefore not absolutely pristine.
These are my spare set and therefore now need a new home. As far as I know they are straight and there are no dents, scratches, cracks or kerb rash on any of them.
There are no tyres or centre badges with them, and I wont swap or sell them separately, they're good looking wheels and I can't find another set in as good condition as these. If you can afford to wait a few weeks and fork out £800+, then you'll find a new set on the internet somewhere.
I will post overseas, but the shipping costs may be silly.Give them a good home, they look great
£550 ($832) (€643) plus shipping.Mick

Robin Campbell from the UK band 'UB40' had one, it was for sale a couple of years back
Now that takes me back...

Just a thought Egil, but directional tyres can mimic what you're describing if they are put on the wrong way around. Worth a check

Having rechecked my photos taken during the work, I noticed that I may have got the two black connectors plugged into the wrong modulesSwapped them over and now no ASC light and the car drives and idles beautifully. Thank you Tim!

You know what, since I've had the car, the cable is missing the retainer that holds it to the throttle body. Of course I zip tied it back in place, just like it was. I bet I've altered the distance of the cable? The first pic is before I tampered with anything, so I'm guessing that's the normal position. Ok, if I take the tubing off and ensure the valve is open or adjust it until it is, perhaps it'll sort it
Thanks once again Tim -
Ok, I'm definitely glad this has happened before to someone else. I cleaned out the manifold as well as it was very oily. Going to take the PCV off again and have a look inside as well as check the pipe again...
Coincidentally, my traction control light is on, but not the ABS one, more weirdness.
Thanks again Tim

Thanks Tim, "the usual problem"? Ok, that's a first for me. I did take the pipe out and cleaned it up, including the 'o' ring. It definitely went back in at the front and I slid it up to the PCV and then pushed the clip on. I'll have another look in the morning. How odd..
I'm intrigued as to how the pipe not being connected would restrict the gear change up Tim, do you happen to know
Thanks for the reply Tim.

Hi gents,
Changed PCV and intake gaskets. Started up today and went for a test drive. Well after half a mile had to turn back as it seemed to be stuck in 2nd gear (wont change up at all). When I got back and turned the wheel the power steering seemed to squeal briefly. I've checked all my electrical connections and am baffled as to what may be causing this after changing the above? Anything that I'm overlooking? Didn't have these problems before so I've done something, just can't figure what..

That looks better than the OEM, nice work
Any pictures of you working through it?

Ivan, I have found this site to be of use, the principles are the same even though it's not an 8 he's working on. There are some 8 related how to's in the site also. Not as good as Tim's site, but I find videos helpful too.

I've always thought and said it! Insurance companies are a huge rip off and are a license to print money. Scheming under hand practices to ensure minimum, if any at all, payouts, absolute scandal. Thieves, all of them, ah that's better, Spleen vented.
Just paid £2000+ for son's insurance on a car worth £1000, scum all of them...
