Nice car!
It seems that you low-down the car as well.
What shocks and/or springs do you use and how do they perform?
Thanks.

Holy moley Batman I think I feel a new credit card coming on...
Very nice and credit to your persistence.....
One thing though... On every grooved disc I've seen the grooves are going the other way? Any thoughts
Good question!
I asked my dealer and they said both ways are ok. It depends on the design. The clockwise way is stronger in stopping the car, but the brake pads wear quicker. -

Siva hi,
are those the 18' BMW BBS wheels or an aftermarket BBS? I have three originals and need at least one 17x 9'' or a couple of 8'' to make a ueseable set.
Anyone have some, please?. If not keep an eye open for me and I will be grateful.
Cheers
Hi, Theo,
Actually, they are 19" wheels from BBS (LM2), but not from BMW. F: 19x8.5J & R: 19x10J.
I suggest you can go ebay or yahoo to find the size you need, but make sure it is from BMW or BBS. There are many fake ones.
Cheers

After a 2-year long searching for both front and rear brake kits for my E31, I've finally got a set of custom-made GT brake kits from Brembo as my new year present.
The specs are:
Front: 4-pot F50 calipers with 355mm 2-piece floating rotors
Rear: 4-pot Lotus calipers with 345mm 2-piece floating rotors -
Re: My car and my speed after chips etc.
44hp more!! That's stunning!
I am thinking of chip tunning now...
Is your car 850Ci or 850i?
By the way, you have a nice car!

Re: Thanks SIva - Wow thats low ..is your new car that
Zitat von HerbertIs the new car as low, do you still have the springs?
If so Ill buy them off you...
What set up do you have on the new one?
This is Herberts car and i was hoping to achieve this set up.
CheersMy springs and shocks were sold to my friend long time ago. And my new 850Ci is still using the stock EDC suspension.
My friend has the same setup as Herberts car. It is ok because the CSi bodykit is not as low as ACS's. Therefore, even lowered down by 35mm, it is still ok. -
Re: Sivasu...what shock spring combo are you using?
Zitat von HerbertHow much 25-35 mm did it lower the car
The car isn't lowered actually. I increase overall diametre of wheels and tyres instead, in order to minimise the gap between wheel arch and tyres.
The tyre sizes are F:225/40R19 & R:265/35R19. The overall diametre of these tyres grow up 21mm in the front and 27mm in the rear as compared to the stock tyres. It makes two tyres' height just equals to the car height in the rear. I personally like the ratio and the look very much! The only downside is the speed metre would not be as accurate. It's probably understated by 3-4% which is not very significant to me.
For looks, please refer to the photo I put in showroom: "New exhausts trims and tyres".

Lower 35mm is great in looks.
But with AC Schinitzer bodykit, you may have to consider the practicability...Here is my first 850i with ACS bodydit and Bilstein + H&R setting. Despite the lowerness, I have to say the setting was very well-balanced between comfort and performance.

Re: How much have you spent??????????????
I have spent over EUR58,000 on service items & modifications for my 1991 850i and 1995 850Ci in Taiwan over the past three years. Almost every part is twice the price than in Europe here. But I really enjoy the car very very much!!!!!!!!

Another vote for E31!

New Michelin tyres
The tyre sizes are F:225/40R19 & R:265/35R19. The overall diametre of these tyres grow up 21mm in the front and 27mm in the rear as compared to the stock tyres. It's probably understated by 3-4% which is not very significant to me .
After Yokohama AVS, Pirelli P-Zero Rosso and Dunlop Sport 9000, I found Michelin PS2 tyre has the best ride for my E31, firm but not harsh.

Exhasut trims on stock mufflers.
