Robin Campbell of UB40, his old 850 on ebay, "fully restored", remember it up a while back and was in a tatty state.
Have we had Clifford Price, AKA Goldie yet? His old 850 was on ebay last week.
ZitatIt's also said George Michael and Will Smith owned an E31, but I haven't seen any proof for that yet. Not that I care. It's not like a car suddenly drives better or becomes more attractive once a famous person owned it.
They normally drive worse once GM has owned them, he has a HABIT of parking them in shop windows.
Angus the Goodridge lines don't use the washer, the threaded section is long enough that the seal is made at the bottom of the hole in the caliper with the end of the fitting on the line, same on the fronts. I have Hels on the bikes and rate them, may be a generic fitting issue by a vendor that's not done his homework?
Spotted at 20.15 black (or dark green) 8er, Bardolino maim street from my veranda, thought I was the only person insane enough to risk my baby here! Still, Millano rush hour has to be the craziest ever!!!
Dashboard:)
Nice job, looks remarkably like my MK1, now superseded by the MK2 after HAVC relocation for double DIN.
MK1
MK2
Taking the 8 for a little run end of July/Aug. destination southern Italy, via some Alpine passes and a couple of other places. Anyone else going to be around then?:)
ZitatTerrible day - finally listed my 8. (Hockney signed Ravell model - now sadly fading - obviously NOT included..)

B what will we do for entertainment; the place will be awful quiet mate. Can I sense a surf wagon on the horizon?
T stars with 15mm spacers all round, drove ok.
Just seen this, looks like you will come out of this ok. Not a full respray, no roof/boot, but considering you needed the bonnet, bumper, arches painting, not much left to blend in.
When I first saw this my initial reaction was to say DO NOT LET THEM TAKE IT AWAY. Once the insurers have the car you lose all control. I had the same on a special, a few years ago. You can request that the assessor comes and inspects the car at your property (or where ever the car is). If they take it away and write it off you may never see it again, even if you contest it and win. Once the car enters the murky waters of salvage it can easily disappear.
Remember the car is your property, not the insurers. Only once you accept the cheque, do you lose any rights to the car.
Thankfully it seems you are ok in this case, but if the car can be recovered to your property, it's always best practice. Good luck :~)
Zitat
£175 Trinity Lane Via Adrian Flux I mean even I was shocked on an 850 CSI does not use NCD. Classic policy limited miles 3k pa.
There seems to be little equity on these things, flux was over £400 for me on classic?
^
Small world, I wouldn't want to paint it though!
Zitat
Performance Direct have come good for me again.
Last years premium was somewhere around 370 - [down from 440 ish]
This year they only want £280 which in C London is a bargain... that's half what the Volvo costs to insure..
I'm putting the Volvo up for sale any week now in case anyone wants a late 2008 V70 LUX!
Looks like the 8 is going to become our only vehicle again for a while...damn!
Good news b!
Same story here, down a few quid.
Also, I have just had a quote from Classic Line insurance of £289 on a classic policy that uses no NCD. The 8er is now 16 years old and sneaking in to some classic criteria.
I may have to do some juggling of policies as my T5 has gone to my mate that needed a car in a hurry, which means I am looking for something new. The NCD needs to go on the new car as they won't even quote without a min. 2 years NCD, won't mirror it either.
Afternoon Dave, pleased to hear there is still one in Liverpool.
It's supposed to rain, thats where all the lakes come from, I feel cheated if it doesn't.
Yes, approching the top of Helvellyn on the first picture looking back over Striding Edge, Patterdale down to the right, Ullswater to the left. Second pic is most of Striding Edge seen from Swirral Edge with a frozen Red Tarn in the fore ground.
Wow that would have been cool Harry, next time mate?
I saw Daves for sale when he got it, and was tempted myself, so the 14 years didn't fit, but didn't think there would be two so similar. Common as muck
