So nice, very up to date & similar to the new V8 engine covers, like to share the secret how you get the raised profile on top so neat?

Zitat von stevep840;101391Andre , what happened re the shipping quote?????????????
I would surmise the wheels were 'exchanged' at Quarry if they are 'parting' the car;-)m
It's not Art but Bloody mined vandalism
I thought it may have been a cheaper solution to a re-spray?, but in the end it wasn't what I wanted, watch this space
Hi ya Tony, i'm definitely going but not in the 8, booked in on the 17th Aug for Respray, top quality guy so I decided to join his 8 week waiting list
Hi Matt Glad you feel 'at home' here, a place you will feel comfortable, unlike that 'darker 'place
Andre , what happened re the shipping quote?????????????
Zitat von Noggie;101290Lambo Orange with gloss black roof, details and wheels
Not quite as Flashy as that but the blue had to go.
Should unfortunately be ready just after Gaydon.
Zitat von ukzero;101280That's you'n'me scuppered then Steve
No not really, one day there may well be 10000 8's left world wide but I like being different
Gerrys Csi is a one off, much more appealing to than a stock Csi, I like very much what you have done to yours, very subtle mods, unlike some of my hair brained ideas but I'm in transition once more, must being at the 1st signs of grey hair;-).
Mine is in for a full colour change respray & new wheels.
Which should send shivers down the spin of the 'Old guard'
Zitat von 8Tech;101276Alles anzeigenHi Steve,
Confused dot com here!
You have asked for someone to post a link then posted it yourself.
Am I missing summat here?
8Tech.
Hi G, It looks that way I know but I did edit the post after ? wait for it 8 mins, I posted then went straight to PHeads & fook me there it was so I could of either deleted the post or let it roll.
Sorry for the confusion, especially now I've decided to leave them as thay were
Zitat von Nifty50;101268No, not at all, the CSi kit is an upgrade. I was thinking more along the lines of vinyl wrapping
You may well chuckle Grahambut vinyl can be removed in just about same time it would take to remove those hideous 'dumbos ears'
Only covered 1000 miles due to lack of use
Perfect wheels for the 8 series, no wobbles /vibrations etc needs hub rings [supplied] to reduce down from 74.1mm
Tyres are Nankang sport & are as new.
Alloys are 99% perfect, slight & I mean slight, rim scuff pic provided should ther be interest.
These wheels have been un available for ages & remain so for the foreseeable future
£1200
Vinyl is sooooooo last year no I 've moved on, got over the 'wrapping urge'
Does any one have or can provide a link to a known 8 series that has the side body moldings in the same paint colour & not the normal Black;-) this is some thing I'm contemplating so I thought it worth asking?

I have just stumbled across this, also has the bonnet trim at the windscreen done in Black, quite like that?
Zitat von NickF;100993Alles anzeigenThanks for the replies boys. I checked out detailing world, they have a meeting called Waxstock :).
I looked for Farecla and there are loads of different products to confuse me. Should I go for a colour restorer or a scratch remover? Rubbing compound or a liquid? Do you think this will do the trick? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fare…Paint&hash=item19cf0d059b
As for the rust, in the arches it really looks like stone chips, and I had the sills off and there was nothing more sinister under there. I guess I'll only find out when I get it repaired. I think I'll sand down that area and do a half-arsed spray job and see how I get on. I have no doubt i'll be back to the body shop at some stage but I'm unlikely to make the problem worse.
The roof doesn't have bubbles, it just has tiny stone chips that have gone rusty. There is nothing on or around the sunroof thankfully. I may be in denial, but I plan on staying there!
I don't blame you, Eygpt is very warm right now;-)
I Like it nice work fella
I'm with Gerry all the way, never seen any car that looks good with any thing other Than bright alloy wheels
