Someone probably didnt know which one they had and bought both. Opened them both and fitted the one that fitted correctly and returned the choice in the wrong box.
As noone would recognise this, it will just float around until someone cant be bothered to send it back or loses their receipt or orders the wrong one which will turn out to then be the correct one.
I see it all the time where dodgy garages use the expensive part, such as a caliper, then put the new cheap one back in the box of the expensive one to get their credit, then return the old unit in the box of the cheaper unit to get the surcharge back.
Very common with GSF, ECP and others who have staff who do not check the returns and just stick them back on the shelf.
I doubt it, once maybe but twice in succession/? + my filter was in a sealed bag & placed in a unopened box?

Can't make my mind up about the matt black look, but looks like you have done a fantastic job of putting it on. Is the upper front end section around the grilles all done in one piece?
No mate, don't think even a pro could do that, I managed to hide tte join behind the number plate

Good luck with that Steve but I hope you dont intend using the car outside too much!
I did the ACS tailgate spoiler on my X5 in the Pro quality 3M black carbon effect and 8 months down the line it had aged so badly I had to rip it all off and paint it, something I now wished I had done in the first place. It looked pretty ropey after 6 months though. It goes dull, grey and misty.
Thats why I went for real CF on the trim, internal and external on the 8.
I do hope you have more success with the amount of work you are putting into it.
8Tech.
I'm sure it will be OK for a while, don't forget? I get pretty fed up all to quickly so we'll see but my biggest fear is 1st trip out on the bye pass & watching whole sheets of vinyl ripping off the car could be embarrassing;-)
Just been thinking how to wrap the bonnet vents??, so, I 've decided to pre wrap the louvers then run the bonnet wrap over the vents

the White was my' training course' cheap stuff naturally, now using pro quality vinyl but will have a silver roof after i decided lime Green was a tad OTT
-
slow progress due to the steep learning curve/colour change but only the roof Bonnet & front bumper to go

Speak as you find Roger!, my own experience is not so good!! It all obviously depends on how good/experienced the operator is

Wouldn't an old-school pluntheger pressed around dent have a small chance of performing this task?
Yes I know..absurdbut sometime, brilliant ideas come in simple packaging. I am here all week, to help others with any especially fiendish E31 related problems.
That reminds me the time a mate tried to show me how to open his car with a Tennis ball
He cut the ball in half, placed it over the lock, then gave it a bash with his palm, nothing opened but left a 4" diameter Dent
