Hi guys need your help with regards to my windscreen motors. I took my wipers off to give access to RAC (Ruin All Cars). When i went to refit them my wipers do not power.Any ideas?
-
Heres a link for the torx tool you need to remove your driver side wiper so that idiots like RAC who are supposed to have the tool can change your windscreen. Im a bit bitter after waiting 7 weeks for my new windsceen. 4 visits from them about 20 phone calls to them and they still couldnt sort it out. My bmw dealership were no help either saying i would have to get them to do my windscreen as they wont sell the tool. I googled it and found bennets.com had one in stock.

Can anyone tell me if its only the v12s that have a problem with banjo bolts loosening or do the v8s suffer from it aswell? Thanks karl

Do these work? How many people have them? Can they harm the setup of the car?Ive heard a few horror stories of them reflashing the computers.

Shame to say it guys but i watched the program and there was no 8 series on it.

Has anybody out there in the 8 world used the company Chipsaway to rectify any stonechips on their cars? If so how did they get on and what do they think of the job carried out. Look forward to any input.

Are you going to lower it now?
It is on the agenda now being able to see how much i can get away with.
ZitatGenuine BMW?
Yes they are genuine bmw.Radial 32 is what bm call them.
Ive got michelin pilots on them and i cant believe the difference compared to the avons. No road noise or droning and i can actually hear the engine now.Handling seems improved aswell. And this is with them having an even smaller profile.Well impressed. Thanks for your remarks.

Thanks for the reply. So your saying there wont be a problem with the tyre sizes with regards to ABS.I currently have 235/45/17 on the front and 265/40/17 on the back but unfortunately the new alloys are coming with the above post size tyres on.And they are michelin pilot so i want to keep them on ideally as i have avons on at the moment and they dont half drone at low speeds.

I am just about to purchase new alloys with tyres and was wondering if there is any problems with regards to there size. They are of a five series and i have been told that there shouldnt be a problem but i thought i had better check with the guys that matter. They are:
FRONT 8" 235/40/18
REAR 9" 265/35/18
I was a bit confused with regards to 'offsets' and 'spacers'.Will i need longer studs? I am currently on 17" at moment. Does the change in size make a difference to the speedometer?
Thanks guys hope you can help.Karl

Is it straight forward doing the rear brake pads on an 840? Are there any special tools needed?
Thanks Karl
