The screen forms part of the rigidity of the car so if you replace it you have to use a BMW Screen, if you don't the screen can crack.
The screen edge is also a place for corrosion to set in so be prepared for more than one job.

Hence the Ventureshield question. Are you going down that route?

The other thing about NCB if you have to use its then only 'protected' if you stay with the same insurer, if you go elsewhere its gone.

I will eagerly fill in the same online form 20 times.
8Tech.
I just use Confused.com, you only fill in once and then watch all the quotes roll in. Easy. -
They managed to do the bonnet in one piece but they had to stretch it (Venture shield has a lot of stretchability).

Had it put on my car when I had it resprayed few years back, front end, bonnet, front wings ,sills, wing mirrors, rear bumper and back of rear wheel arches.
Because I know its on there it stands out a mile to me and I thought it was quite visible, however, no one has noticed it unless I have pointed it out to them and that includes people standing right infront of it at 8 Series meetings (unless they were being kind).
Would I do it again, yes but not as much.
Front Nose Cone lower, 100% no brainer, it is practically invisible in that area and that gets chipped up the most. I don't have a single mark on the front.
Front Nose cone upper, yes, but it because of the angles it can't be done in one piece so there are a few joins.
Bonnet, I'm in two minds about wether I'd do this again again, thing is I know if I hadn't done it would probably have aquired a few chips by now and I'd be kicking myself for not doing it.
The rest I wouldn't bother with.
I had mine done by Nick Phelps at Curvature group, "nick@curvaturegroup.co.uk"[/email] so they will have a template for the 8 Series, but they are based in Pitstone just north of the M25, so probaby to far for you. -
Admiral Insurance Renewal arrived in the post today, I opened it expecting it to be half as much again as last years because all renewals are these days but when I looked it I thought that looks cheap. It is too, last years was £385 with Admiral, this years is £272. Its for the full 12 months as well.

Its a 10am start tomorrow as opposed to a 9am last time isn't it ?

also, I bet the rain reduces the numbers further!
Thought everyone just jammed into the gazebo when that happens.:) -
Hi Timm,
I looked at the 7SeriesRegister site, seems spaces are a bit tight and they are all allocated, so I guess I shouldn't make the trip? -
I think the problem before with mine was a poor connection with the ADS plug, whenever I plug CarSoft in I have to use safe craker hands on the ADS connector to get the green lights on the Carsoft module to light up. I thought my ADS might have wide \ loose receiving pin, but actually it looks like it may have been too tight a fit, the connection pins weren't actually going in, they were just resting on top.
Anyway, nice to have a couple of options, thanks chaps. -
If you bring your laptop up again Timm to have another go at resetting my AHK I may well come up.

these will not be my primary set, so I won't use them much.
They might end up sitting in their boxes for a while, but at least I have a second set of wheels for my 8
Winter wheels? -

whilst the battery at the charging point showed 11.91volts.
After a 1.5 hour drive doesn't this indicate knackered batteries or charging system. -

Hi Revtor,
is Guido still doing them? I sent him mine in 2010 but he was having problems with the parts suppliers were sending him so he couldn't do mine, I got it back from him after about 10 months because there didn't seem to be and end to those issues on the horizon.
