Sehe gerade, auf den Bildern ist noch der alte Wasserbehälter zu sehen und es fehlen noch die neuen Spritzwasserschläuche und die Abdeckungen für die Lampenschächte.Werde nochmal aktuellere einstellen

Hi.
I have a blown fuse in the 840CI 1998. On the inside of the lid under the bonnet it shows number 25 but does not say what it protects.
As its a 30amp fuse it must be serious.
All the systems seem to be working ok except the CD changer unit.
The handbook does not give a list.
Does anyone have a list of fuses or know where I can find one?

Hi.
I'm investigating a problem with my M62 engine and came across this new OEM site.
The diagrams are more clear than the Real OEM and the prices are in euro.

Hi 8Tech.
Thanks for the reply.
The sensor arrived this morning but they sent me the wrong one.
So I will have time to check out those other areas you mentioned.
I was not aware of that TIS that changed the recommended plugs.
This engine has only 75000 miles on it but it was idle for a long time,
so I have cleaned all the contacts I can find and will investigate the other
sensors.
C3 appologise and are sending me the correct sensor by express.
We shall see.Wolf

Hi.
I'm looking for some info on the M62 engine.
My 840CI, 4.4,1998 M62 engine started running very roughly. Sounded as if it was not firing on all 8 cylinders.
I thought it might be a spark plug, so I took them out and they were very sooty and , I thought, oily.
Also I thought the centre electrodes had been burned away but then I realised that was the design of the plugs, namely, BKR6EQUP. I had never seen plugs like that before, being used to a protruding centre electrode. These plugs were not listed in my handbook, so I replaced them with the recommended BKR6EK.The rough running was still there so I searched the forum and discovered that a faulty camshaft sensor can result in all cylinders being fuelled together on every stroke and cause the symptoms of a plug/coil failure. I have a new sensor on order from http://www.c3bmw.co.uk at (for Ireland) a reasonable price of £58.75 sterling. In the meantime I have taken the plugs out again and cleaned them.
I have no manual on the car or the engine and wonder would any 5 or 7 series manual cover that engine.
And finally the question: What is the recommended Torque for the spark plugs?
