Not so much a "clink/rattle" more of a rattle/clink on mine, turned out to be the bracket that holds the amp in place.worth a look.

From an earlier post:Performancewise, there is little to be found in those heads so a standard quality rebuild will be sufficient, possibly with some CSi or Schrick cams, and some honed intakes but don't expect too much. A good heads rebuild with seats etc done will give you more power, but only back to as it was when new.
8Tech.
Regarding the head problem. Mine was loosing water with no trace, turned out to be the thermostat. Not saying its the same prob but worth looking at.

Glad you said that Wildatheart, been gagging to say something along those lines for ages. Personally i cant stick 'em, not saying my paralells are much better but to my eye suit the car better, the 19" even more so when lowered right.Good job we dont all have the same taste...

Thanks for the heads up Gerry!(for the few of us it applies to )Mine is good at the moment but in the near future the 8 is coming off the road for a restoration which will include your lightweight flywheel and the short shifter from the states.

Hay Tony, i got the PI springs on mine at present. The rears are perfect, just get the tips of my fingers between the arch and tyre, no rubbing at all. The fronts however, they dont drop as claimed. The ride is fine and just that. After deciding to keep the car and doing a lot of homework on the subject, for the right look (in my eyes anyway) it comes down to H&Rs on the front, even with the plates installed (5ish+ mm?) the look will be right. Thats the route i'll be going and im quite confident it'll be the look im after. Les

I can supply a hessien bag and a brick!...if you find the skanky little s*it machine. Good to hear most of it buffed out.

I'd say take your time Alan, there's plenty knocking about, a buyers market for sure. Wayne's right, leave the badge off the 840 ...now if it was an 850!! that would be worth telling people you gotta V12
Jus kiddin . Les -
. The real reason you cant sell it is cos you wouldnt get the same good natured banter as you do right here. One thing that stands out on a couple of the other foums is they can get a bit heated/nasty at times, good for a laugh watching from the side lines but i for one would rather the humor of this site. I also thought about selling the 8, i'll still be getting another car but instead of replacing...will be joining the 8 .

Should'av sold it ....AND GOT YOURSELF A V12!!!

Looks a bit dusty to me, BUT...the drop looks spot on. Im interested to know what the ride is like now as your using different brand/make of spring front and rear.

oooooh errrrrrr!!...kept that on the QT!!

Rear number plate wants straighting, a tad low on the left.

Sorry, didnt mean to imply they were manipulated with, just alittle tweek with the contrast maybe. You can see the paint and condition is exceptional.

"The deep black is due to the Zaino system. The paint, after a full Zaino job, is better than new. The polymer crosslinking structure of Zaino makes the shine a mile deep. The lens I used also helps with saturation and contrast (Canon 24-70 f/2.8 L). "
And a bit of help from Photoshop , a great looking car tho. Just one thing letting it down is the panel that the licence plate attaches to, maybe a new one or some paint, would just finish it off nicely .
