Fantastic job guys, I know I would be lost without this site and everyone who's part of it.
One question though where can I find all the information and pictures regarding all the different tuning companys?

Very very nice, IMHO Mk's look amazing on our 8's. For sure will be my choice of wheels.
Can I ask why you have two dimmer switches?
Merry Christmas & a happy new year everyone. 2013 will be a good year for my 8, it's going to be the first time in 6 years it will be driven on the open roads
Great news mate. Hope you have a good xmas, hopefully see you soon in a different 8
Well at least you've sold it. Someone's got themselves a steal. Hopefully we'll see you in the future in a CSI.
Muppet. I'm sure it won't be for sale at that price for long mate.
I don't think you can far wrong with Autoglym leather cleaner and then a good treatment of their cream, excellent value for money IMHO
With Gerry on the case at least you know she's had some long deserved loving.
Like yourself & Mick I decided to bring an 8 back to life, I knew it's never going to be easy or cheap but the satisfaction of driving the finished beast is what pushes me on.
Hi mate, the advert seems fine, I would also try putting it on autotrader and increase to atleast £4,995, yours is far better than alot for sale.
I really wish you the best mate, hope your not out of a job for long, these are tough times.
You've got my number if you need anything.
On a side note if you've got any spares that you want shifting let me know I may need them.
All the best.
Wayne.
Fantastic work as usual Gerry.
What a complete bodge with that cable, I've seen it all now.

Is it too soon to ask whether you are enjoying the V12 as much as the previous V8's?
What were your concerns or expectations when you decided on the V12?
Cheers
Graham
I thought magnecor do not recommend using the carriers? I've got spacers so I'm sorted either way.
I'm enjoying working on it but its not ready to be driven yet. Things being fitted / changed in the next few days are the leads with new dizzy caps & arms. Gearbox & diff oil. I'm then off to get a full stainless exhaust - still not decided how throaty I want her to sound.
To be honest I didnt have any concerns or expectations. I know its going to be a fair while before she is up to the standards of most on here but thats what I'm enjoy doing.
Since speaking to Magnacor and Gerry I've decided to go with the 7mm, fingers crossed they're up to scratch.
Cheers for the help guys
I went ahead and bought seperators for the 8mm so the carriers will not be an issue. Is that the only thing that I would need to worry about if I were to go 8.5?
Hi Graham.
I've been in touch with Gerry before I went elsewhere, he's sold out.
Hi all, last week I ordered a set of 8mm magnecores through a tuning website. This afternoon I received a call from the tuning company saying they've had magnecore on the phone saying that the 8mm have been subject to some technical issues recently and they've withdrawn the 8mm for our cars
They have said that the 7 & 8.5 are still available.
I decided on the 8mm magnecore's as they seem to have had good reports from fellow 8er owners.
Will the 7mm be just as good or is there another make for 8mm's
Anyone help?

I can't believe everyone else on here already new how to do it, or did they?
Cheers
Graham
I did'nt and to be honest as much as I enjoy getting involved with my 8 with repairs etc I will leave this one to the experts.
I didnt notice the wiper panel. Must admit I really like the black roof addition, really suits the calypso
Excellent as usual Gerry and just in time as my wipers seem to be seized.
Very nice example.
Is that a black roof? Is that standard?
I know what you mean about the SL Steve.
Most of us get distracted from time to time with the attraction of extra power and refinement but then we seem to come to our senses and back to the BMW.
