Hi guys have not been on here for a while.

I'm looking to invest in new set of shocks and springs. I'm thinking of going for Bilsteins B6 Shocks/dampers and Eibach lowering springs.

Has anyone on here fitted these to their 8 series and can I please get some feed back from those of you who have.

I just had a set of rear shocks fitted at BMW at a cost of £500 pounds and im not really happy with them. So they will be up for sale shortly if anyone is interested.....

The front shocks also need replacing and I have been quoted an arm and a leg so hence why I would rather go for Bilstein

Hi have not been on here for a while...

Sometime ago someone mentioned a Suspension set up that they thought was very good on a 840ci Sport That consisted of a Bilstein set up

Can anyone recommend a good set up front and back.

I recently bought two brand new rear shocks but the car does not feel the same and Im fed up of paying money for OEM parts that quite frankly arent worth the money. BMW UK is asking over £1200 for two front sports shocks and I know I can buy a whole set for that price.

Can someome please help and advise

It does not have to be brand new as long as there is legal tread the more the better ofcourse

This is both bumpers upper and lower but does not come with the trims.

I am selling due to having a complete re-spray and therefore have purchased new bumpers. The top bumper is in very good condition and has a minor dent on the O/S. The nose cone is in tact and not damaged.

The lower part of the bumper will require attention but nothing a good body specialist can not fix.

Steve I've had a look on ebay and mate its worth every single pound and penny and more. Hope you get what you want for it. If I didnt own my 840 sport i promise I would have snatched yours without a second thought

I'd say your eight is by far one of the very best 8 series around

M5 GREAT

Some times I get very tempted to trade in my 840ci sport for a E39 M5 or The newer model. As it has been said already although the both cars drive fantastic in comparisson with the 8 series it just doesnt have that retro special feeling that the 8 has.

I KNOW the M5 in both cases is a superb drive and out performs the 8 in many ways but................. I'd rather have gazing eyes and attention than a fast thrill.

But........... I'm still very tempted

Rears are 17Inch 10J Off set ET19

Fronts are 17inch 9J off set ET13

Spare is also 9J

I am open to offers. The alloys will come complete with new metal valves BOLTS and a set of Locking Bolts

KDS BALANCING

Apparently there is a special balancing service I think called KDS only available at BMW main dealer which is a Four wheel alignment service inc Beam rear axle alignment which my friend swearS really makes a diffrence.

He works for BMW and I will be taking up his advice to get my car tracked at BMW

The alloys also have new silicone seals which are transparent

FOR SALE IS FIVE Professionally and Completely refurbished AC SCHNITZER Type 2 alloys.

The rears are 10J 17 inch Fronts are 9J 17 inch and also a spare 5th alloy also 9J.

The alloys have been completely stripped powder coated sprayed and polished.

Sll nuts and bolts have also been refurbed.

No dents or buckles all alloys are in mint brand new condition

I have spent a lot of time and hard work to get these alloys back to the original if not better condition that they are in now.

Nahhh not for me

I do like the look of the 20 inch alpinas on steves car but whats the point when the car steers like S**t........ but i think we all know 20 inch alloys will allways be uncomfortable and will definately spoil the drive. If BMW wanted to stick 20 inch alloys on the 8 they would have done so from the begining...

Yeah big deal Ive changed loads of alloys on my eight to inc Hartge modulars 19 inch 19 inch Hartge classics..... and just recently a set of 17 inch Ac Schitzners type 2 alloys. I ve just recently put my CSI alloys back on and the car drives and handles like its supposed to.

Once you start messing with after market wheels and spacers on car etc you screw up the whole geometrics on a car.

Steve I love the alloys mate even jealous of the looks but I've yet to find anything the car handles better with than the Csi alloys. I forgot how beautiful they set the 8 off. 20inch is just too bigggggg
