Ugly as hell... Sorry, there is no more elegance left in this car. Our 8 Series was a beautifully elegant GT and I hoped the next one would be just as beautiful and desirable... Nope :ahhhhh:
The proportions are great but the execution is downright ugly. The huge grill and openings are missing any beauty and seem to be sketched by someone who has not much understanding of aesthetics.
The Interior? Boring. That's a concept car for god sake!

I guess it fits the taste of today tough and probably I'm too old...

Think of it this way: how many people drive a Porsche (and how many of them are poser di..s) and how many drive an 8 Series...
As you can guess, I'm not a fan of Porsche drivers .
For many years I was living in a city where every Bankster had a Porsche.
It was truly satisfying to cruse with my 840 and watch those Idiots getting a long face because all the pedestrians admired my car and none theirs.
A Porsche is a great sports car in the proper hands but you see a lot of them (except the only great Porsche: the 928).
As Danilo said, the 8 Series is far superior in Quality to a 964.

I have an Orient Blue one and I love that colour. Depending on the light and angle of view, it looks like:
    - very dark blue
    - deep, rich metalic blue
    - dark violet

Beside the fact that the steering wheel is on the wrong side :harhar:, the car looks great and the price is really low.
I can actually hear it calling: "BB where are you..." :grin2:

It's more of a gentleman's Club and less of a pub. (If you excuse my somewhat arrogant comparison .)
If we don't have something meaningful to say, we just keep our mouth shut. :harhar:
Therefore there is more silence here as elsewhere but the information to noise ratio is superior to other forums.

    Hi Dieter,

I can't help with the printing. We have here 3D printers but due to the high security I can't brig in our out anything. Here we have to count on Reinhard and Kuhni.
Regarding temperature resistant 3D printing, that is possible. You can even print metal.

What I can offer is to create the 3D data required for printing.
For that, I would need all parts which have to be printed (if the connector is assembled from more then one part).
It's also helpful to have the connector counterpart (on the MAF) as it is sometimes hard to make correct measurements inside a deep cavity.
We can communicate the rest vie PN.

    Schönes Wochenende und Gruß,
    Steve

BUT: I have no connector from the electronics to the old wiring loom.
On the last alpina tour (in Italy) we have discussed this and Reinhard and Khuni said that they might look into manufacturing the connectors to the wiring loom using 3D printing. THEN we would have a nice usable product.

    Servus Dieter,

Makes me wish to have another tour and not to tell too much now but we have discussed some ideas for 2018
    ...

Terje, where ever that Tour goes, we would follow blindly!
The Video and the Book bring back wonderful Memories. :congrats:
