could you please share with me what make and model it is because
I have a Csi and 2 85o's that need new radios and im battling to find on ethat fits

I have just recently found a young man in London that knows his 8's
inside out
he is an absolute wizard with them
he is an ex w/s mng of one of the dealerships and now has his own shop
I have been thru a few "so called 8 series specialist" very much to my detriment, frustration and expense
but this guy is a gem and well worth sharing with anyone in the London area that needs a good "babysitter"

what make of radio is that you have in your car
All 3 of my Bavarias in the Csi's and 850's are gone
and I cant find anything that fits
your ideas ????

I have had 1/2 a doz refurbished by Guido
now and all working fine-- plus he is quick and not too expensive

I recently asked if he could do The Bavaria Radio as well which he says he can
so I recommend him

I spoke to the auto elect again and he says
when he had it on the ramp and had the dianostic kit on it
he could actually activate the system and the wheels turned left and right
but for this grinding noise
I think that sounds a bit like good news

Hi again
I have just recently managed to get my Auto Elect to get my AHK up and running again
Its working now - lights on the dash and wheels responding to electronic testing--but
It is making an almighty noise when it comes into operation
The Elect says it sounds like hydrolics but it is more of a grinding sound to me
I have had to switch it off again
Any ideas where I can start looking
what is involved in servicing the system and is that possible
or does it have to be replaced
or can it just be left off forever and ignored ??

I am battling with 2 of the 8's with hot air building up behind the consul
so much so thet if I use a tape in the deck it comes out boiling hot

Im told everything in the Matrix is working correctly but
still the hot air
Has anyone had this problem and managed to sort it out

I am really at my wits end again with 2 of the old ladies
I have just acquired an 850 Ci with intentions of restoring her to the full but the blessed thing keeps swithing over to limp mode
It seem to run for a while then out the blue jump back into limp mode
any suggestions where we can start looking

sun roof

Hi all

The sunroof on one of my 8's is not closing 100%
I tried holding the roof switch in the closed position for 14 sec as someone previously advised
but nothing happens--it wont reset
could someone please tell me if there is another way to reset the sun roof

Ill guide you to a guy that just works on 8's
he has about 12 of them in his yard
2 of them mine
Dont think you'll see that many in one place too often

Ive just bought a 2008 (not a 2009 8er) M5 Tourer
really nice to drive but a little OTT with all the settings
But its still nice to get into the 8
They are a pleasure to drive
esp the Csi

HI all
Im still on the hunt for 2 x boot spoilers
The Dealership inform me that they are
"No longer available" in the Uk and Europe

If anyone knows of somebody in the States that
has contact with a dealership that could check on their system if they have any I would be chuffed

Otherwise I will be just as happy with used ones if I can get
UKZERO may have one for me soon so Im still looking for another one

I have just enquired aboiut replacing the pixel on one of my 8's
I am told the prices has now taken a hike
I have 4 of them at various stages of decay
does anyone know of a guy in the UK that repairs these things
At £380 a piece they are fast becoming repairable if
I can find someone that does it
