I have enquired here in the UK and in Europe and it seems they are
"No longer in stock"

I did notice that fitting a straight thru on one of my 8's definetly affected the gearchange in some way
Not drastic but it has changed
sounds awsome though

I have just acquired a very neat 2009 M5 Estate
cant wait to get it 
I know this is not a M5 quorum but
I think I am still loyal to the 8's
with 4 of them in my stable so
I hope you guys dont mind me asking for help on the 5 as well
I would very much like to ditch the exhaust system and fit something a little
more "audible"
Longlife say its no problem but I hear that
It not that clever to change things around on the M cars
Also does anyone know if I can fit my 10" M6 replicas from the CSi onto the M5
the back are 10" x 19" and the front 9" x 19"

I have developed a mysterious problem with my P reg 840
When I change from D to R and then back
all the dash lights go off and it is though I have just switched the car on as the Pixel reader goes off and comes on
This continues to go on every time I seem to go through reverse or N
I also Notice that the Reverse tilting when in Reverse does not work
Any words of wisdom from the wizards would be appreciated

Between my 8's I am running out of magazines for the E31 cd changer
I have 3 now that all the trays fall out when I flip it over
Did this when it was in the changer once and I had one hell of a job getting it out
Does anyone know where I can get these things fixed or better still where I can buy one or two

Hi there all
I have developed a real ugly noise in the engine when starting up in the morning
it lasts for about 5 minutes (until the engine is warm)
then goes away
The car is my 1995 840 4 lt
its done 104k
The noise sopunds like what I would have called (30years ago)
noisy tappets
I have been told to try changing the hydrolic lifters +/- £1000
and it may clear the problem
At that sort of price I , personally , would be enclined to try a few cheaper options first if there are any
so I would really appreciate some thoughts

If I was guaranteed that the new hydrolics would sort it I would probably do it as the car is very well kept but to spen £1k and then find out it didnt work is crazy
I am getting a thud like sounding noise when I pull away
in the Csi
This only seems to happen while the car is cold
after a block or two it goes
Any thoughts where I could start looking

It did turn out to be the rubber bush on the pully
FDitted a new one (not too cheap)
and problem solved

I cant agree with you more
I have also noticed that on the Yahoo news page
they often feature items such as "Best 10 classics" or
Top 10 sports cars at affordable prices" and so on
but NEVER do you see an 8
Top Gear also ran a series on good old sports cars at affordable prices
but AGAIN no 8's
I wrote to them but
obviously, no responce
Every now and then I get a little disheartened
the Someone pulls up next to me at a traffic light and says
"what a beauty !! " she's a real classic
I wonder what is said about our 8's in the designers studio in Germany
I think the 8's will go down in history like the E Type--The AC Cobra The Mustang-- They are all legends
Must say though--The Audi R8 is REALLY NICE !!!!!
