Noisy Pulley
Ths for your invaluable advice Tim
Jeff
I have just acquired yet another 8
this one is a 4.4
It has a fan belt squeal which I am told is from a wobbly cranck shaft pulley
Is it a big issue replacing this pulley or has someone encountered the same problem and found the cause to be something else
Cheers

Hi there
did you resolve your tyre problem
I have just bought a set of 19" M6 lookalikes for my CSi
and the tyre shop says I need 10mm spacers up front to stop the tyre hitting the strut
Is this normal ??
What wasyour final configuration
cheers
Jeff
Ive just bought a set of M6 lookalikes for my CSi
but on fitting they are hitting the struts
the supplier has sent me a set of 10mm spacers to fit behind
Is this an acceptable method of fitting wheels
Would appreciate some advice
Cheers

8er--UK-- Support
Hi there Al
I have been a member since the club was originally UK only
Since it has changed over I find that it is no longer frequented by too many UK 8ers and this is sad
Apart from that I find it very confusing and difficult to get to the main english section and threads (I know my IT knowledge is not the greatest)
but I am also not a complete idiot either
I noticed the other nite while paging thru trying to find my way that some other countries are setting up their own links in their own languages
Is it not possible to set up one for the UK so we can go straight to it
I do appreciate the input from some of the guys on the other side of the channel and their advice has been most welcome (in some cases they have been the only ones to respond) but Im afraid I am useless to them as I cant speak any of their languages
Also by the polls on the home page the bulk of the usage is in english anyhow so
Why not just make a full english page without having to sift thru all the blocks trying to guess which one to click on to get to speak to the UK (and the english speaking compatriots elsewhere) members
I know I must sound absolutely stupid but I have posted threads about issues I would have like help with and I cant even find where I posted them myself leave alone find any response
I do hope all the non english speaking members dont take exception to my dilema as I care for all of them just as much as our guys but I am finding it difficult to navigate thru this new 8ers Forum
I dont know if Im the only one with this problem and if so then I suppose Ill just have to keep finding my way in the dark
Ths
I am getting ice cold air blasting thru the small speaker grills in the door panels on both sides
It only seems to happen at high speed, hence it cant be from a fan anywhere
It is happening on 2 of my 8's so its not an individual experience
This happens even when the heater is belting hot air
Is there something Im doing wrong or
has anyone experienced the same thing
Either way some advice would be great

CD Shuttle
Hi
just read your rticle on the cd shuttle
I have just posted one about the shuttle on my CSi
I battle to get the radio to read the discs
It wont play my own discs ata ll
and even some bought ones as well
your thoughts
Jeff
The CD shuttle in my CSi will not play my own cd's
It will only play original discs
And then not all of them
The shuttles in my other 2 8's are fine
Any suggestions
or does anyone know of somewhere I can take mine to in or around London to be fixed or
Failing that -- does anyone know where I can buy one
ths
jeff
