Nathan.
Koizumi i'm glad they aren't making the CS because the 8 is supposed to be a coupe'.
Now you have put it like that Noggie, the 8 is in the same league as the E Type Jag, because they are the same shape alas with different engine choices.
Nathan.
Wayne another black is CSi was just listed today on Pistonheads. It's done 144,000 mls although apparently drives almost like a new car. Also full service history to boot too. It's for sale at less than £10k.
I like the the colour, never seen an 8 in Royal red before.Nice car too .Welcome to the 8 series friternity, they are a great bunch of people and hope you enjoy it.
Nathan.
You're not selling your 840 are ya Wayne ?. Taken you a while to find your car mate.Anyway possibilty it might be a few dirty sparkplugs.
I didn't know the Z8 had that chassis problem. As an obvious choice they used aluminium for saving extra kilogrammes but lacks the strength of steel. Also that is alot of money off the dealer price.I didn't know Mr Bangle designed it, that's new info to me.I don't blame the Americans for buying them Arnie, i blame Bmw for allowing him to design some of the new Bmw's.
Nathan.
Bmw's are about driving fast, with the addition of great handling and having style in abundance. They lost one of their greatest in the style department ( designer of the 8 and so on ) and employed Chris Bangle and in some views, he deducted the styling out of the equation.
Nathan.
This might be me being cinnical about the recent BMW's, but i think the last memorable model they built was the Z8 with the M5 engine. The shape doesn't look like it was penned by Chris Bangle. Looking at all the lines and none of it looks out of place, like the previous Beemers. They can make their cars handle well in the bends that is what they are about, but what's the point in driving something that handles well but is butt ugly.
Maybe Bmw can persuade me with their next car.Although the white M1 photochop isn't bad, but then again the lines are not free of imperfections ( they should be smooth, sleek and be a shape we recognise ).
I know this was asked a million times, but what are your thoughts about the Bangle and pre Bangle designs.
Nathan.
That is one of two bangle shapes i like, suprised me alot actually.Like you say Sama this could be the new 8 and not the M1.I did see the new M1 in red or orange but the engine cover still sticks out by a mile.
Yeah the nose needs to be sharper or they might as well fit the front end of a Z4 and the shape needs to be sleek not stubby.
Koizumi these photos are from http://www.flickr.com mate.Apparently these are the new 8 series concept drawings
Probability is this wasn't drawn by Bangle, but to my eyes quite possible.
The boot lid to me is like an after thought. I do like the rest of the car but not as much as the E31. Anyone here keen on it ?. I hope they don't put a diesel engine in it, no matter how great they say them engines are now.

It's a shame the wheel is in the wrong place, although i like the colour and i am sure i would get accustomed to driving it.What's the news on the other one Jud ?.
Nathan.
Hello, i know it isn't an 8 but i had to have a look. It's got motorsport stripes, along the whole length of the car and across the front chin spoiler maybe somebody stuck them on Wheeler dealers style i don't know. The price is rediculous though at £13,995.The total mileage is 65,000 miles and with full main dealer history.

I hope a member of his family takes up the same interest as he did, he and his skills will be missed alot RIP.Although he did fatally wound his only son .

Hi guys, i found the M5 on an importers website in Canada. When i say super low miles, i'm talking of only 92 km's since new. The car was stored for 16 years in a garage. The engine is the 3.6 straight six version. No accident history, with service records etc. Here is the link to it :

Hi guys, the first is a 1995 on an M plate on http://www.autotrader.co.uk, and the other is here at http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/123137.htm and covered only 36k miles since 1995. Just looking at the pics, they seem to be immaculate. Chat with ya later bye
Nath.
Sorry keep scrolling down the page.
Hi guys this is a thread from another car website in Potugal, the names of the cars are there and there is 180 ( maybe the previous owner is a big fan of darts ) in total. Some i would reckon are approx 70 years old with some rarities too. Maybe they are for sale.
