Just blown my rad...the top hose looked like it had come off but after closer inspection the plastic inlet mounting had also snapped off ?
So a whole new radiator is needed (£££)
Has anyone else had a similar problem ? Are these a weak link ?
Hi , Had a message from the OBC saying "SIDELIGHT FAILURE" which initially was wrong however after a couple of days it did stop working ?
I've changed the bulb and checked the fuse and it still isn't working and the OBC still has the mesaage .
As I'm non-Technical (Pictures & masonary nails my limit !) anyone got any ideas ?

Glad it's not just my CD player that has a mind of it's own ?
On my 99 840Sport when you take the magazine out there appears to be quite a lot of dirt/debris in the player ...don't see many top-loaders these days ...I'm sure that contributes to the problems ?
Mind you who thought it was a good idea to put the changer in the boot by the axle on a car with M Tech suspension - not the brightest idea either ?
I thought it had been sprayed so got a specialist to look at it and it hasn't been re-sprayed it's original. He blamed it of the differing plastic/metal combination and age ?
Even other colour cars I looked at had the same problem .
Must admit it has some laquer crazing where I forgot I don't have PDC
Sandwich , I'm down on the S Coast ....so was looking for something nearer .....did you have all of the bushes done ...there are a lot on the 8's .
Hi, Other than BMW franchised delaers has anyone found a good supplier for suspension bushes / arms in the UK .
I have to start planning some replacements over the winter and wondered if anyone has had any experience with these parts ?
Are there any non-OEM's I should consider ?

Compare that to E63 Six series , I bet (and would love to know the figures ?) that already since 2004 there are more E63's than E31's ?
When I ordered a 630i Coupe as a Co Car last year I was offered over 60+ cars ex-stock in UK dealers ...something I guess would never have happened with the 8's ?
Just had an oil service plus various filters done at APM for a v v reasonable £122 inc vat .
Also they gave all the car/ bushes /brakes 
a once over so I have an idea of whta is likely to need replacing over the next 6 months
The guy is ex-Snows of Portsmouth and knows a huge amount across most models ...

Wayne, It took me three months of looking before I found my car . Even looking at "rough" cars can be beneficial as you get to see similar types of problems and can identify the things that wear out etc .
Keep looking you'll find something ....eventually .....I was near to the point of looking at other makes/models...
I had a 630Ci new Sept 05 as a comapny car .....after a 530I Sport, and was slightly disappointed in terms of ....well most things ...performance the 5 seemed better , build quality was not good ...anti trap on drivers door went after 2 days , intermitent buzzing from dashboard , s**tty run flat tyres awful & noisy, Creme sports seat looked 10 yrs old after 6 wks ! 
I drive - why ?? What's wrong with buttons !
Got rid after 8k miles & 7mths....cost £52k ended up on Coopers Wimbledon forecourt @ £39,995 !!! Thanks Capgemini .....I can't afford that type of depreciation.....
Just bought a 99 840CI Sport third from last car produced .....6 vs 8 no competition ....even though I've driven a mate's M6 ....which is great but not for everyday and hey look at the depreciation 20k 1st year !
6 has no soul.....the 8's have !

Hi, I had a 630Ci delivered new in Sept 2005 ....although it was an ok car (not as nice as previous 2001 530I Sport to drive) the engine isn't anywhere near as good as the V8's or even V12's .
It's one of those engines that needs to be worked hard all the time , I got bored of it after 8,000 miles ....
An 8 needs the extra power ?
