I have clean the sensors, that dident make any differens, so i need to go inn a little deeper and check/clean the sensor ring.

Did find the ABS controller, it dident looked to be damage of any water, it was nice and dry around it . I open it up and checked the capacitors , they looked fine. Put it back together, sprayed som connection spray on it , but the lights came back after a 20-30 minute drive.. The batteries in my car is almost new, maybe a half year old.
-
I had my windscreen replaced a few years ago, so i need to check this controller. Where do i exactly locate it ?
-
Every morning when i start the car the ABS and ASC lights is on. I dont need to drive for more than a minute, stopp the engine, and start up again, the light are gone. Sometimes they come on while driving, but that is very rare. I have measured the ABS sensors , they are fine. The valves in the ABS pump was stukk , so i change the ABS pump. What more can i check?

The crankcase vent is in a catchtank , from there in between MAF and SC. thus after the MAF.
-
After i mounted the hose from the crankcase in between the MAF and the SC , it was almost impossible to start the car. I needed to hold the throttle in just the right position and then it it came slowly alive . After i start it , it works fine. I tried to start and stop it a few times , and it was horrible to make it start every time. The day after when the engine was cold it started up right away. I stopped the engine after a 5 minute drive , and try to start it up again, and it was the same shit , really hard to make it start. The hose from the crankcase i have just let it run out in the open air intil yesterday, but because of the stench i wanted it back in the system. Does enyone have an idea ??

Almost done, need to mount the hose from the crankcase. Dont worry about the clamps , i am going to change them with new one , and turn them , so it look nicely.

Mounted a new MAF today, and everything is working perfect!! Waiting on a e34 m5 3,91 differential to put on the car , are really excited to how that will affect the car. I will let you know..

Today is a happy day! I finally found the problem. used a multimeter on the signal wire from the MAF. This should not exceed much more than 5 volt. before shifthing gear it showed 5,8 voltage. Then i put on another 2100 ohm resistor (4200) total) , now the multimeter showed 5,6 voltage and it shifted just fine. So now i am going on ebay to bay me a new MAF. Thanks for all help. And a spesial thanks to Firebird .

With the new chip from Ess , once or twice it reached the rpm limiter (for the first time, have not done that before) before it shifted gear , and then tranny failsafe.
-
It works fine, if i am quick enough (it is really sensetiv at that high rpm.)
-
Today i tried the new Ess chip for the DME, i asked Ess if he hade change the rpm limiter, he hade not. It still came up with tranny failsafe when it shift gear at 6500rpm. When in sport : i push the car up to 6000 rpm, then i force it to shift gear (pushing the e button) every thing works fine (no tranny failsafe) I think i need to reprogram my EGS to shift gear at 6000 rpm. Does anyone know who can do that ?
-
I undestand that the Ess DME chip need to be correct, but way do i have the same problem when i put in my OEM chip??
-
This is not steptronic , is it ? (my car)
-
I know of two others who have built SC in their 8er, and they have reprogrammed their EGS to shift at 6200rpm, but I dont know if that is my solution, maybe there is something else wrong with my car.. i dont know... but i am pretty sure it would fix my tranny failsafe issue.
-
The rpm does not exceed 6500 . It shift gear at 6500rpm in sport and 5500rpm in economy .
-
I am not sure if Sport mode change throttle response, cant say that i noticed it. I though it only changed the shifting...
-
If i dont push the throttle all the way to the floor in sport , it shift gear up fine before it reach 6500 rpm (max.) , as long as i dont bush the pedal to far down.
