Cheers Ben ,
I have tracked this down on the wuffer site (better printouts) however it does seem a lot more work that the V8 engine. I intend to put the car on a ramp soon and just have a look. I dont like the thought of stripping the suggested bits off if it is possible to avoid it. I will be doing it on a ramp (4 poster) so this should make it a bit easier. I will let you know how I get on. In the mean time if anyone else has any experience let me know. -

B*****Ds Jealousy is a strange thing, but as you say as long as you can get a excellant repair done the car will continue to look better

Ben this can only be accessed by gold members and as it will not let me join can you cut and paste it for me or email it to me

Steve mine is a 850i and as such I am happy to tackle the job ( i have done engine swops in other car etc) but I would just like to know the process is possible at home without special tools etc
-
Can anyone please confirm if the above info to change a starter motor on a V8 is the same as a V12?? I would like to tackle this ASAP but need the confidence tha its possible without special tools abd equipment.
-
Me too, but like you miniblob my rear cluster is a six pin connector

She looks clean

Ben I have just noticed the badge on your car V8 . Therefore does anyone know if its the same process on a V12?
-
Ben was this on a 840 or 850. I have decided to change mine and if it is as you decribed it should be fairly easy. By the way I have been quoted a variety of prices for a new starter motor. Does anyone know the usual price (850i 1991 RHD)

Timo the windows close at 100mph to reduce cabin noise. Glad to here the heated seats are working. AS for the rear window you could use a multimeter to check voltage at the rear screen by connecting to the cables which are attached to the glass.
P.S I knew Terry would load up a diagram well done Terry

Rear demist fuse and relay in in the boot on the passenger side behind the side cover. There should be a diagram attached to the panel to show you which one etc. i have a look and double check the seat fuses and let you know unless Terry gets there first
-
Allenca, the fuse for the windows in in the boot on the passenger side (left hand) behind the side panel. If you remove this panel it will / should have the picture attached showing the fuses and relays. By memory the fuse for the windows is a 7.5 amp.

Was this the speed it reached when driven or dropped out of a plane? Not that this should be done to any 8 off course

Cheers UKZERO. I wil go with the 45w version. As for producing more of the mounting plates that is possible if people want them. Just let me know
