The guiding principle behind the development of a bodystyling kit for the 8-series coupé was to achieve a functional design which complemented the overall appearance of the standard model.
The functional feature of the front spoiler and rear skirt with its wing-like profile is improved downforce.
A special rear wing was also developed to reduce lift on the rear.
The side skirts have air inlets underneath, directing extra cooling air to the rear brakes.

A totally new AC Schnitzer suspension spring kit has been developed for the BMW 850i with the following benefits:
- Lowering: front axle by approx. 25 mm, rear axle by approx. 10 mm

- Better handling and balance on bends
- When cornering on the limit, better handling due to the more direct response.
