Weird thing happened today. I was working on the car and about to look at taking the radiator out to replace it when suddenly the horn goes off. It switches off when I close the bonnet but comes back on when I pop the hood... Any ideas?

Does the horn sound continuously or intermittently?

I was thinking towards the anti-theft system but then the horn should have been intermittent (I think). Besides, if the alarm system did not disarm properly you should have the same issue when opening the doors... Anyway, just to be sure check the alarm LED on the center console. It should stay off when the car is unlocked.

There is a chance the horn relay could have failed. Had a similar problem and new relay fixed it.

Yep, if either the alarm or the "CODE" feature on the MID is not deactivated the horn will go off when opening the bonnet.
