Windscreen wipers: Cost!

    Went to the local stealers today to buy two wipers for my 840. They wanted £61. I'm pretty sure the last time I bought a pair {about five years ago) the cost was just shy of £30. Anybody know of other sources?

    I have tried alternatives, Bosch etc, from places like Europarts and Halfords, but they just aren't of the same quality.

    You can buy only the rubber bits and DIY fix the wiper blades.

    P/N: 61618217711. Cost ea. is 16 EUR (13GBP) but around 30% dealer discount wherever they pass this on to the customer.
    "5 Minute" job per side with small flat pliers to slightly open up the last clamp and pull the metal liner.


    Have a close look beforehand at how:


    - things are put together
    - the rubber is locked by the metal liner & frame clamp at one end
    - what groove is in use and
    - what side of the liner is left and right (they are bent ever so slightly making left and right different).
