Rear Tyres Unavailable 265/40/ZR17

    I cannot find a supply of 265/40/ZR17 tyres for the standard 10J rears. The only tyre I can find on the internet is the Hankook Ventus S1 Evo K107. This is being sold by "Tyres Guru" and Debs Blythe managed to get two from them. However, when I ordered two, they contacted me and said my credit card payment had not processed (a lie as there is nothing wrong with my credit card) and I must transfer the funds directly into their bank account. This sounded alarm bells so I did some online checks and found loads of bad reviews for this company, which is just a front for Delticom AG. This company has many internet "shop windows". Common complaints are failure to supply, failure to refund or asking for more money as the price has gone up. One to be avoided.


    However: This leaves us without any alternative for our original fitment.


    My current tyres are Dunlop SP Sport Maxx, but they no longer make them in this size.

    Roger, neither of these are available in the UK. Import tax from USA is prohibitive on sourcing outside UK. Apparently 275/40/17 tyres are available and the closest match to OEM. There will be a slight speedo error but nothing too extreme.

    Are they available in France! Take a trip through the Chunnel! :)

    255/40/17 ist actually the closest to OEM...

    Unfortunately the cost of importing from USA is prohibitive. Michelin Classic has Pilot Sport 2 - 275/40/R17 which fits fine (I have fitted these last week). These are available in the UK via Blackcircles, Longstone Tyres, and Beaulieau Tyres.
