I have always been in love with the 8 series, and now I am ready to buy. I don't think I can afford an 850CSI, (which is what I want but I would like) so I would like to buy another 8.
Which one would you recommend for reliablility, performance (840, 850)?
And what are the main trouble spots on any 8 series that I should look out for?
I was told by a friend that the 840's were much "better" (reliable) than the 850's true?

Depending on how picky you are (color combination), I know of a few enthusiast owned cars in the area that are for sale privately.
