SRS reset? Is there any information out there about this?

    Since I bought 850iA it has been flashing the SRS light ,
    after a while it stops and stays on, which I know is normal when theres a problem.
    The old owner told me he had the air bag disconnected
    because of the safety issue over air bags in general and he didnt want it anyway.
    So Now that I have it, I would like to make sure he really did what he said.
    I took the Stearing wheel apart and the air bag is there still,
    but I wouldnt have a clue where they unplugged it or how they dissabled it?
    Is there some relay maybe? or fuse I'm missing? Any way of telling if somethings wrong?
    Any help would be great!

    It is possible that the airbag system is still intact and that some exercise by the previous owner (seat removal/Instrument cluster removal) set off the light. I have a similar issue altho self induced (removed the cluster and turned key on) and the available SRS Reset tool doesnt work on my early car. Only option for reset is the Dealer.
