Alpina Wheels Installed Today

  • Are you able to take some close up pics of the rear tyre and the guard, looking up from the road? Also how much room is there between the wheel and the rear suspension shock?

I'll try to take pics later today. The tire sizes I'm running are the Alpina-recommended sizes. My car is also lowered with custom cut 3/4 turn OEM rear springs. The fronts are lowered with H&R.

  • Koizumi,

Nice upgrade you did! Always love the Alpina Look. Maybe the louvred bonnet next?
Did you still have the picture of the cut rear OEM spring? Which end did you cut it? I am thinking doing the same as I had H&R spring installed couple years ago then took it off because the rear end with H&R is too harsh for me.
Do you think the 245/40/18 front and 285/35/18 rear tire size with M parallel will be OK? What brand did you use?
BTW, thank you for all your help with the parts I need. :top:

  • Hi Kuan,

The spring was cut on the top side. Here is a link to the spring installation that I did: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=978013

Yes, 245/40 + 285/35 is perfect for M-Parallel. Currently I have Pirelli P-Zero Rosso mounted to the Alpina wheels. These are the 2nd set of Pirelli P-Zero's I've used with E31, and I am very pleased with them. There are some that have fitted 295 in the rear with M-Parallel with no rubbing.

I will be installing a carbon fiber louvered Alpina-style hood soon. There is a place near Los Angeles that is in the process of making them. Have a look here: http://forums.bimmerforums.com…/showthread.php?t=1093563

BTW, we're still waiting for the last shipment of parts :banghead: I hope they arrive soon!

    Cheers

Wow! Finally we got the Alpina carbon hood in US! Thanks to everyone who make this come true. Please let me know when they release the louver one. I am sure you will be the first one installed maybe?:harhar:
After seeing the picture, I am thinking which part of the carbon hood should show the texture or just paint it all like Alpina did? What is your thought about this on black car?
