I'm ready to buy E31. I want E31 owner's opinions.

  • hello,
Finally I think I've met the right baby, at least I believe, in Seoul, Korea.
Check this one out, and let me hear some comments from the owners.

This is that one of Korean used car site link which I've posted up here for 2nd opinions before. I've drove this one today, and it was good. But I still want insights from actual owners.
It's a 97 850Ci, 40,000 ML. The current owner personally, which many car freaks in South Korea do, imported from US.
    copy&paste below

    http://www.bobaedream.co.kr/cy…100&gubun=&user=&country=

It has AC E31 18 inch wheels with PZERO, and the rear spoiler.
The owner recenlty replaced most of its electriacal plugs, I don't know this term plug is a right expression in English but I'm sure some of you owners figure out what that meant. See the photo and give me some 2nd opinions. Any advises before adapting this baby will be welcomed!
    Thx~

(site is in Korean, and will not work without installation of language packs for us English speakers so i took the pictures from the site and placed them here - hope you dont mind - Al)

  • I would have it checked out by a good mechanic or the local Bmw dealer but otherwise that is one very COOL/GOODLOOKING car, very nice interieur, if those miles are correct this car is next to new.

If the price is right en the car checks out ok i would buy it no second thoughts, but you might be asking the wrong people as we all love these cars....

Next time i come to Korea y can give me a ride

Btw how's yr national soccerteam doing??:lol:

    Good luck.....

  • thx to Al and Frank

Thank you for posting the pics and comments. Although I really think that I am asking to wrong people since you all love this car.

    S.Korean National soccer team?
well current team is having a hard time
to follow the Worldcup legend that has achieved by
former World cup team and the former coach,
our national hero from Holland, Guus Hiddink.
We all wish him to comeback!
Come to Seoul, people here loves Dutch!
Hiddink Rules! Netherland National team for Euro 2004!
How's my men Y.P Lee and J.S. Park doing in PSV Eindhoven?

  • Well, it surelly looks good, but you have to check how the maintenance was done...

If you have all the papers stating it was maintained by a BMW dealer, then you should go for it !

You should check all the Prepurchase hints I've posted online here...

  • Well yr soccerplayers are doing ok and are popular players, ofcourse psv is one the topclubs here in Holland, right now a lot games are cancelled due to heavy snowfall...
would love to visit Korea, we have seen a lot of koreans in the last year

  • I like PSV!

PSV visited S.Korea last year for Peace Cup, of course they won the cup.
and I went to see two of their games.
    V.Bommel is very smart player!
And when I saw Roben's dribble, I was very stunned!
That Dutch kid surely knows how to dribble.

Is he going to Premier League or is that was just a romours?
I wish him to stay so I can watch his play more often.
In Korea, we can watch most of PSV games
    but randomly watch Premier League.

I think Roben is more like Primera Liga style than England b/c his fast dribble skill can be more highly evaluated in Liga than England. 8)

  • hugh, just checked,Roben might go play for the national team this summer in Portugal.
We have one Korean player in our team Feyenoord in my city Rotterdam
and they have a internetsite in Korean, do y know this site??? if not
let me know and i will post it for you.

still looking at the 850??? gonna buy it???

    take care

    Frank

  • Thx for check'n Frank.
So you live in Rotterdam, huh? Nice city you'r living there!
I used to watch Feyenoord games on TV too but some how this year the cable stations no longer show their games.

I know that Jong Guk Song plays for your team.
He's still having some difficult time to settle down in Holland League b/c of cultural difference.

It's really hard to work in overseas, you know.
It is not difficult job to do from Europe to Europe,
but from Asia to Europe is just a far thing.
So give him a warm support if he makes some mistakes.
    He's a tough midfielder.
Very phisical, smart and his got tough endurance.

Guss Hiddink liked him a lot when he was a national coach.
Luis Figo could not play well during the 2002 Korea/Japan World cup games because Song blocked and disturbed him on every single moves.
Song watches Figo's game endlessly before World Cup game and
he studied Figo's move. That was why Fayenoord picked Song.
This kid studies and physically performs based on his research.
One thing I wish for your team is to buy Hooidonk back.
Feyenoord needs a exprienced and skilled striker like him.

BTW, I'm currently half way to own E31. Hope I could get a good result.
    Thx

  • Finally, I've bought this baby,
without this site, I would not able to have such wonderful car.
Thx for all that comments and advices.
I'll update MY 850Ci's photo soon.
