window tinting

    has any one had their rear window tinted? im looking to tint the sides & rear but the rear looks impossible,the local specialist is unsure aswell.do the rear seats & shelf need to come out? if so,how? any info greatfully recived.

    I recall some of the guys on Roadfly having it done, especially the ones in sunny areas like Florida...post a question there. As I recall, removal of the rear shelf and rear seats (WTF?!) is NOT necessary.

    it depends on who your local specialists are?.
    i too went with cash in hand to my "local specialist" who qouted £245+vat ,i left the car with them for the half day that was req, but before i went back to collect the car i got a call from them asking me to take the car away as they didn't think they could complete the job.


    i then phone each company advertising in the yellow pages, not one wanted to take on the work!!!.


    in the end i used AUTO ASYLUM IN MAIDENHEAD,but equally skilled are PENTAGON AUTO TINTS albeit a tad expensive, but then again its always nice to pay just the once.


    the back window is a bastard to do apparently,and all side glass needs to be removed, if any body tries to convince you it can be done without, on your own head be it!!!!!!!!!!!

    thanks guys, i'll have to think if its gonna be worth that cost, did'nt think it was gonna be straight forward.
    bonnett looks the bollocks by the way steve,seems a shame to paint it looking like that.
