Heavy steering problem on 840

    Hi all
    I have a 1998 840 which I have just had serviced. The steering wheel shuddered pretty well uncontrollably after going over small bumps. Not all the time but enough to make it a pain. I took it to the specialist who advised that it would need a new 'drag link' whatever that might be. Picke dit up and noticed the steering was considerably heavier. Queried it with him and he told me it was fine but alas its a lot heavier than it was. Does any one have any idea what it might be? Its only done this since the service and I want to keep on good terms with him as he is incredibly knowledgeable re the E31.

    Had the same issues
    Replaced my front end bushings, control arms and steering linkage system, (inexpensive) also at the same time added new H&R springs and since the EDC shocks were seeping and shot they had to go...all told about 2000 usd , now drives like a dream
