Quick question, how do you take the center panel off the steering wheel (four spoke version '97 840ci, manual adjusting) without damaging it ?
Had a poke around and it appears that there are 4 clips, 2 up 2 down, which clamp it to the horn switch, but I dont want to force anything in case this is not what exactly holds it there.
Only reason for doing it is so I can see whether moving the whole wheel one further notch/tooth on the spline will centre my steering wheel when travlling in straight line....
OR should I play with the Track Rods instead, adjusting these 1/4 turn at a time until the steering wheel is corrected ?
