rear brake upgrade

    is it possible to upgrade rear solid discs to vented ones and change calipers to suit from another bmw with/without changing the carrier.has any one done this or am i wasting my time.yours mgas.

    What have you done up front?

    If you havent done anything up front and put bigger brakes at the rear you could upset the brake balance in the car and at best end up with a nervous car during braking, at worst completely loose it and run off the road.
    Cars brakes are balansed so that the front have far more braking power than the rear, mess with that and you could find yourself in a really bad situation i.e if you brake in a corner the rears might lock up and then you are truly F'ed.

    Unless you have done something serious up front, and by serious I'm talking 6 or 8 piston calippers I'd give Phoenix motorsport a call and just order crossdrilled rotors.
