The "check" button on my OBC seems to have stuck in !!!!
Any hints as to how to get it operational again ???

May depend on if its mechanisim has somehow dislocated, or if it's stuck due to dirt etc.
You could try some very strong tape or suction from a vacuum cleaner to pull it out again, and also try cleaning it and its surround with a soapy damp cloth. I was going to suggest isopropyl alcohol, but that may affect the plastic.
I have the same problem, the button is inoperable - it doesn't click anymore. I believe that the buttons can be replaced and I think this is something that Guido does in addition to the pixel repair service, might be worth asking him.
